I would like to know how to replace the drivers side power window motor in a 2000 Dodge Neon
You will have to remove the interior door trim to gain access to the inside of the door.
i am not sure of the setup in your door but if it is cable driven you may have to replace the whole winder mechanism as I think they come as a unit.
If it is pop riveted to the door panel you will have to drill the rivets out and replace with new ones
Have a good look or take a pic at how it is mounted b4 you start pulling it down
2000 neon-drivers power window stopped working-powered down-is there a way to get window up so i can drive to dealeré
SOURCE: power windows
can be the switch or motor take off the door pad and then hook the switch back up and see if you have power to the window motor more than likely it will be the window motor but check it first, thanks and keep me posted
SOURCE: where is the location of power window motor drivers side on a 2000 dodge neon
remove inside doors panel and the motor will be
near the bottom of the door
SOURCE: my 2000 dodge dakota has power windows the up and
1. check fuses
2. if motors are good, more likely it is, it will be the windows regulator or windows switch, both tend to wear out the contacts over times. the windows switch pretty expensive, its run about 123.00 buck each and the regulator run 59.00 each. more likely will be regulator. if it not the windows switch is good. hope that help some, both not hard to replace and not easy.
