Put a monitor on the starter...
How many miles on the starter (original or replaced)?
Always advisible to change it if older than 6yrs old or it may fry your battery, solanoid/coil packs, and starter.

Have it double checked... it is tricky as it is fickle.

Cheers

Try replacing the fuel filter, after runing a tank full of Techron Fuel Injector cleaner. If after changing the fuel filter, you still have a problem, then check the leads to the fuel pump, as well as the grounding screws. It is also a good idea to clean the chassie ground wire connections from the starter as well as by the battery and transmission.

I'm having trouble starting my volvo .it's not getting enough gas to engine. How can I tell if the fuel pump is gone or the injectors are bad

Have a qualified tech run fuel pressure diagnostic tests.
This will determine if the problem is fuel related and a fix solution.
Without doing the proper tests you won't know if you are getting the correct pressure to the system.

I have a timing problem. Low idle speed that is intermitten and causes a stumble at starts. This problem also occurres during normal running RPM's. Missing electronic signal but intermitten?

Could be bad sensor whether crank sensor, sam sensor, idle air control sensor, bad ignition module, bad coil or even timing belt. if you have a service engine soon light/creck engine light it's more than likely a sensor. If no light, probably timing belt/fuel filter plugged/ or weak fuel pump.

My fuel gauge works intermittenly and will only show full or empty

hi, sounds like a possible fuel sending unit has gone bad, malfunctioning. the fuel sending unit for your vehicle is part of the fuel pump assembly inside the fuel tank. this is a very common problem with many ford and gm vehicles. you should have diagnosed before any repairs, but i would bet on the fuel sending unit being the problem.

2000 volvo s70 difficult to start, more so as fuel level drops. Cranks fine. Recently changed MAF sensor, B+ cable, plugs, fuel filter - no improvement.

Sounds like the fuel pump, as the levels of the fuel tank drop, there's less natural pressure on the fuel, which would definitely make it harder to start with a weak fuel stream from a bad pump.

sounds silly but make sure there isn't a partial blockage in exaust system or a smashed pipe.

2000 Volvo S80 T6 scanner code P0237

Actually I believe the code has something to do with fuel.. the P0237 means Powertrain (P), the 0 means its a common code throughout all vehicles not manufactur specific and the 2 means Fuel , the 37 is the specific code and says the problem usually that i dont know off hand but if theres like a lack of power or you know this is creating a misfire i would start out by checkin fuel pressure [pressure, pump, rails] and then fuel delievery [injectors].

hope that gets you started or an idea maybe

ps a turbo is something you usually install yourself so the car shouldnt be equipped with a turbo sensor...i dont think that exists
