SOURCE: transmission dipstick location

Sorry, I'm just now getting it to you.  The dipstick is located on the passenger side of the car way down at the bottom.  It should have a yellow handle.  It's just to the right and down of the battery.  Let me know if you can't find it still and I will get you a picture somehow.

SOURCE: location of transmission fluid indicator dipstick

Couldn't find mine either. It's not in the owners manual. Actually, I found out that it does not have one. According to VW Vortex, they check the fluid at the dealership by computer.

SOURCE: location of transmission (automatic) dipstick

Is it a 4 cyl?

The dipstick for the trans fluid on front wheel drive cars can vary - I would start by looking on the passenger side of the engine compartment back near the firewall...look for a dipstick that looks similar to the one for your engine oil...but make sure it says transmission oil!

If it's not in that location, you might have to dig deeper. Since the transmission is basically below the engine on FWD vehicles, sometimes the dipstick can be located to the left or right of the exhaust manifold, but further down (further down as is closer to the ground)...sometimes they are little short dipsticks that are only a couple inches long and must be removed by rotating counter clockwise. Get in there deep with a drop light and you should be able to find it. Let me know if more ?s!

SOURCE: i need to know the location of the Transmission

If you can't find the stick, likely you have one of GM's "better ideas"...See if there is a fill cap on top of the trans, If it's there, there is a plug on the right side of the transmission. Remove the plug and on flat ground, fill 'till fluid comes out of the fill hole, then re-install the plug.
But, the condition you have outlined sounds like the trans control is stuck in "limp mode" and may need attention (trans diagnostics) to determine if your problem is in the trans or the control itself. Especially if you see no obvious leaks fluid may not be your problem.

Where is fill to add automatic trans fluid to 2008 BMW 650i under the hood?

The automatic transmission fluid fill location on a 2008 BMW 650i can vary depending on the specific model and transmission type, but generally it is located under the hood and accessed through a dipstick tube.

To locate the dipstick tube for the automatic transmission fluid, follow these steps:

1. Open the hood of the vehicle and locate the transmission fluid dipstick. The dipstick handle is usually yellow, red, or black and is labeled with "ATF" or "trans."
2. Remove the dipstick from the tube and wipe it clean with a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
3. Reinsert the dipstick all the way back into the tube and then remove it again. The fluid level on the dipstick should indicate the current level of transmission fluid.
4. If the fluid level is low, you will need to add automatic transmission fluid. To add fluid, remove the dipstick and use a funnel to pour the fluid into the dipstick tube. Be sure to use the correct type of transmission fluid specified in your owner's manual.
5. Check the fluid level again with the dipstick to make sure it is at the correct level. Add more fluid as needed.

Note: It is important to follow the recommended procedure for checking and adding transmission fluid to your BMW 650i to avoid overfilling the system, which can cause damage to the transmission. If you are unsure about the location of the dipstick or how to properly add fluid, consult your owner's manual or a qualified mechanic for assistance.

Transmission dipstick location

Check your owners or a service manual (or just call a Cadillac dealer, ask for the service department, and ask).

There are a number of newer automatic transmissions that no longer have a "dipstick" and are sealed units. These must be checked/serviced by the dealer or a transmission specialist. I don't know if your vehicle has one of these, but would not be surprised to find it does.

How to check transmission fluid level

Most 1995-on VW models don't have a transmission fluid dipstick for checking the transmission fluid level. To fill and check the level of the VW automatic transmission fluid you have to remove a plug on the side or bottom (location depends on model and if you have an automatic vs. manual transmission) of the transmission drain pan. The factory manual refers the expensive VAG 1924 special tool for pumping the VW automatic transmission fluid into the oil pan.
