The R134-a refrigerant should be 1.80lbs. and the presures are dictated by the system it's self which they should be around the same pressure. If the low side is much greater than the high side and fluctuats greatly as it is running you should replace the orafice tube which is located in one of the metal lines near a connection. You can locate the orafice tube buy looking for three little dimple crimps about 3 inches from one of the connections in the metal line.

Did you use the proper gauges to measure the high side and low side pressures as you added the 134 (I assume not Freon)? If not, it's possible you put too much 134 on the high side and either you kicked a breaker for the pressure or you just burned up the compressor.

What should the high and low side freon pressure be on a 2006 dodge ram 2500 diesel?

The re-fill kit for the r-134 will only fit on one of the sides. You want to fill the low pressure side, but be sure you have a gauge not to overfill. he high pressure will be the larger side. But the gauge will only fit on one of the inlets for safety precautions.

Looking for low pressure port for servicing Freon in A/C system for 1998 Chevrolet Suburban. There are 2 ports on top of compressor. Which is the low side and which is the high side?

The ports on my 2005 silverado are on the same line, which is very confusing but, in between the two ports is the metering device (orifice) which changes the high pressure gas into a low pressure gas.The two ports are of a different size, with the low pressure being the smaller of the two. You can put your hand on the line, on each side of the metering device connection and the high side will be hot and the low side will be cold

Mustang Air Condition

Sounds like you have a freon leak somewhere. No gas or low gas in the system will not let the clutch kick in. Have it check out professionally, unless you know what you are doing in terms of low side and high side pressure check. The latter can be dangerous if you are not familiar with the procedure, if you connect the freon or the 134 can to the wrong nozzle, the can can blow up.
