The van will not idle

The van has a 3.4 in it and it starts kind of hard and will not idle.
I have two trouble codes and don't know how to get rid of them or even if they are the problem.
The codes are P0452 evap emission sys. pressure sensor / switch low. and
1374 CKP high to low res freq correlation error

Thanks
Jim

I had the same problem with my 2000 Chevy Venture. First with no engine codes, and problem solved by spraying carburator cleaner on the throttle butterfly (was sticking partially open..giving too lean of an idle mixture). Second time symptoms worse including lurching at acceleration with one engine stall. Check Engine lit up and code was P0341 (camshaft sensor) after scan. Replace inexpensive camshaft sensor (replacement was somewhat difficult, however, as it involved removal of serpentine belt and power sterring reservoir) and problem solved. My 3.4L now runs like new, depite having 175,000 mile on it.

Why doesn't my 1999 saturn idle right? Is it hard to fix myself?

Click on the link, that is throttle body and iac cleaning. See if it helps?
I don't know if idle too hi or too low or rough? The basics for any vehicle with rough idle is to check for a leak of some kind, fuel--egr--vacuum, something of that nature.
How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? I don't know which Saturn you have?

My Ford E-250 2004 cargo Van with 5.4 liter engine will idle smoothly but stops running when I touch the throttle. how do I trouble shoot?

Hope you had not dismantled the throttle. Kindly check for any vacuum leaks and also check the mass air flow meter if okay. You may run a diagnosis and attain error codes

2002 venture wont start when its cold and rainy

Probably not. If one of the sensors were faulty you should have a check engine light on and a trouble code for the sensor.
Have you checked the plug wires ?
And as a side note, I don't show a 2002 Venture mini-van having a 3.8 engine.

2005 chrysler town and country when i start the van it shaking vibration hard in park and in reverse it and in neutral and in drive it perfect.it drives good on highways no shaking

try to increase the idle-rpm..
Example - at standstil condition when you start your van, have look at rpm... say 1000 or 1200 or 1500.. whatever it may be..
Keep idle-rpm a little bit higher, if previously it was 1200rpm then set it to 1500 rpm..
If the problem is solved then..
1) clean ur airfilter
2) check spark plug condition
good or bad... if bad then replace..
3) check fuel supply line, if it is damaged or folded

Your idle air control motor or valve may be faulty. Or the throttle position sensor may be out of whack, out of range. It sounds like a high idle problem, not a problem in the gearbox. Have the engine computer scanned for any trouble codes.
Good luck.

After awhile these idle screws don't have a lot of effect, the throttle body & injectors are also probably dirty. The 1.5 turns out from a soft seat is a starting point. Go another 1 to 1.5 turns out to find the sweet spot. Pour a can of Seafoam in with about 1/2 tank of gasoline. That will help clean the injectors & combustion chambers. Clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner, make sure there is no carbon around the edges of the butterfly and where it seats.
The knocking on starts is most likely from worn bearings. It will knock until oil pressure builds up & is circulating through the journals. I hope this helps.
