You will probably require a new wiper stalk on the steering rack, I have seen 2nd hand on ebay uk

It could be something simple like bad spark plugs, clogged air filter, or bad gas. Start troubleshooting there first and see if the problem gets any better.

YEP SHIFT LINKAGE LOOSE OR WORN NEED ADJUSTMENT.ADJUST THE SHIFT LINKAGE BY POSITION THE SHIFT LEVER IN NEUTRAL .REMOVE THE REAR TUNNEL COVER IN FRONT OF THE REAR SEAT.PULL THE RUBBER DUST COVER FORWARD ON THE SHIFT ROD.LOOSEN THE CLAMP BOLT ON THE SHIFT ROD.MOVE THE TRANSMISSION SELECTOR SHAFT ALL THE ITS LEFT STOP,KEEPING IT IN NEUTRAL.WITH THE TRANSMISSION STILL IN NEUTRAL . MOVE THE GEARSHIFT ROD TO THE RIGHT TO ITS STOP.TIGHTEN THE CLAMP BOLT TO 18 FT LBS.TEST THE SHIFT LEVER PLAY SHOULD BE THE SAME IN ALL GEARS IN ALL DIRECTIONS.

In your car do you have a hand handles to operate the heat level or it is fully automatic?
If automatic there is sensor(heat)which controls the unit.
Can you give more info about it?

No it does not matter.In 1987-89 Porsche have relocated the 3rd stop light up from bottom that is all.

that oil leak or another is dripping on to the exhaust manifold or exhaust pipe ,that is where it is coming from,,

check for clogged fuel filter, ignition coil , distribuitor rotor
