Sounds like the ignition switch, but it could be any of your other guesses too. When you turn the ignition switch do the accessory lights come on? If not, definitely the switch. Do you hear a faint clicking noise (the spark plugs igniting)? If so, it could be starter or the solenoid. It oculd also be the switch that allows the engine to start because the clutch is depressed (or the car is in park). if that switch is bad the car won't start because it thinks its in gear. Also be sure your battery is in good shape. It could be that after a short trip the battery isn't charging enough to start the car. You can test this easily next time it happens by checking voltage across the battery. It needs to be at least 12 volts. Anything less and the car probably won't start.

As these are air cooled engines first check the fan is working and the ducting to the cylinders is in place . Check the oil as well.

You need air, fuel, and spark for your engine to run. Did the car do anything strange before not starting? Does it crank and turn over? If so, you should check you are getting fuel. Check the fuel pump relay and fuel pump.

to adjust the hights on the windows you will need to remove the door panels.Then you will see in the door little opening where you can adjust the hight with an allen socket 5mm.

if it was me i would stop in to a porsche dealership in the part department and ask them for a wiring diagarm for your car and for the most part they do it for you for free wish you the best Michigan Man

Hi Rick, I think you should talk to your local porsche dealer and ask them for a diagram of the structure of the vehicle and then you can figure out where to fix the belt. Did you buy a genuine seat belt or an after market one?
