How do I get my rear windows up on my 1999 911 convertible

The above solution from chameleonsma for the rear windows not going up when closing the convertible problem on my 1999 911 Cabriolet was right on target, exactly what I needed. Is the permanent solution replacement of the sensor/switch in the latch?

Anyone beside outback jack? Car won't start. Battery good. Alarem was gng on nd off New cell in remote keys. Started cpl time buzzing sound from gas cap while car is off.

Buzzing sound from the gas cap could be a defective fuel pump that kept running after you shut-off the engine or fuel pump relay problem that made it stay on after shutting it off. Best of luck

Engine fails to start

What makes you think the battery is charged sufficiently? My guess is that your battery doesn't have enough power to crank the engine (just because all the lights come on doesn't mean the battery is good enough to crank the engine). Try jumpstarting the car, or charging the battery. If your car starts, then your battery is getting old, it's time to replace it.

Car fails to start.

Check your battery terminals to be certain they are clean and tight. Terminals that are too loose will not carry enough current to run a large electrical draw such as a starter motor. If that doesn't work, you could have a faulty starter solenoid (replaced as a unit with the starter motor). Not sure what kind of car you have, but security systems can also malfunction and cause no-start conditions. The problem could also be in the ignition module. You would likely need a mechanic to diagnose that. Good luck
