Just pull the abs fuse ,anything that disables the motor will
leave you with "old fashioned" brakes. No abs but base
brakes will be fine .ABS light will stay on .

The light is an indication of something wrong, you need to find that and the light will go off. Some designs illuminate the light at low fluid in m/c.

probably a bad switch.it should be somewhere near the top rear of your brake pedal.

If the ABS light is on, you have either a failing ABS (wheelspeed) sensor, or a bad ABS control module. You'll need a diagnostic scan to find out which it is. As for the owner's manual, there are a number of online owner's forums that will probably have the manual or at least the same information posted, or you can search eBay for one - they're common finds there.

You can use your vin on their site for access to proper parts.
