Clarification of the would be greatly appreciated. However the entire dash is held on with about 10-15 screws.
Open both doors and pop off the platic covers normally hiden when the doors are closed. Remove the screws from both sides here.
Then open the glove box. There are 2 screws that hold on a metal bracket, remove them.
On the top-middle of the dash there is a vent to defrost your windshield. One screw holds it on, remove it (phillips I believe). Then remove the screws under the vent so that the dash can be completly removed.
The top part of the dash a 5" strip closest the to windshield will have to be removed frist. By simply pulling it up from the sides.
The entire dash can then be removed fairly easy by pulling it apart from the housing for the odometer and across the entire dash.
The housing that is around your odometer can then be removed by simply removing a few screws across the top and under the radio. You will have to disconnect the wireing harness for the light adjuster left of the blinker on the dash. to remove this part. (I had a little trouble getting this out so I had to take apart the plastic housing for the ignition. 3 bolts slightly bigger then the ones on the dash under neath.)

Testimonial: "Your instructions made it possible for me to replace the 5 inch section of my dash with new one. Thank you very much."

Cracked vinyl on dashboard replace or repair ?

If you really like the car, replace the dashboard. Or there are car specific " carpet type covers" you can buy. Always use ARMORAL on your new dashboard. Doing this, I have never had one crack.

How do I get to the heater core in a 92 Sonoma so I can replace it?

Hello there,

The heater core is in the middle of the dashboard, near the floorboards. To get to it, some of the plastic fascia must be removed. The fascia is held in place with screws and wire clips. Remove the screws first, then pop the wire clips. Slide the fascia out, and locate the rectangular heater core housed beneath it.

Best regards...

How do I replace dashboard heater light? The glowing lights that indicate direction of air flow.

Heater light bulb, and all other bulbs for the air conditioning buttons, are on the same mini panel, and attached to the back of the radio front fascia. To dismount this fascia, you need 1) To pry out (no screws) the clock 2) Unscrew the one screw that holds the top of the fascia (screw is hidden behind clock) 3) Unscrew the two screws at the bottom of the fascia 4) Disconnect all connectors from the back of the fascia 5) Look for the burnt minibulb.
You could replace the bulb without disconnecting, but the cables are short, and the possibilities of marring your dashboard are high.

My eclipse dashboard is cracked and I want to replace it with the original.

I had the same problem. They are brittle aren't they? I found a replacement at a salvage yard, and it took a long time to find one that wasn't cracked. You may want to go to a dealer for a fresh one. It seems the sun dries them out, or makes them crack and a new one is definately what I would do if ever I had to do that again. Be careful not to crack the new one when installing it.

Need to replace dashboard lamp on my 1997 Toyota

You need to pull the instrument cluster out of the dash. This is not a very hard job, but, you can damage the outer dash fascia as it comes off, past the steering wheel.

Move the steering wheel to its lowest position.
Remove the phillips screws that surround the instrument cluster fascia (under the top edge)
Pull the fascia off.
Remove the 4 screws that holds the instrument cluster to the dashboard
Remove the wiring connectors from the back of the cluster assembly, and pull it out. Replace the bulb, and reassemble. The wiring connectors cannot be mixed up, they are all unique.

Light is out in the dashboard

Remove the screws at the top of the black fascia that is in front of the clear plastic cluster lens

Pull the fascia off

Remove the 4 screws from each corner of the instrument cluster

Pull the cluster out, unplug all of the wire connectors

Do not disassemble the cluster; no need.

The bulbs are accessible at the rear of the cluster; twist to remove the bulb holders

Reassembly is easy, the connectors only fit one way.

Hope this helps.
Thnaks for choosing FixYa
