Cylinder number 4, on a 4 cylinder engine, is the cylinder farthest away from the crankshaft and drive pulleys,running the alternator,AC, and power steering.
Please tell me what is your indicator that only two of four cylinders are firing? This will help me helps you better. Also include any testing you have done at all.
Check your firing order real quick too.

Hello! Since I do not know which engine is in your vehicle I'll send both diagrams...#1 is the 4 cylinder with firing order; 1-3-4-2........Guru.....Saailer
The accelerator is a potentiometer connected to a pedel and the wires go directly to the ECM. If the AWU( accelerator Working Unit) was bad the engine would run constant at 1800-200 rpm. Do any codes come up? I will do some more research and repost.
