My chrysler voyager 2003 just lost power when on the road and stopped responding to gear shifting. The engine is running fine. There is no engine light. It just doesn't move nor respond to gear shift. Is it a sensor or transmission problem? It has 48,000 miles.

2002 Chrysler Voyager 3.3. Transmission won't shift gears from drive?

Question edited for clarity. 'year make model' first, 'want' and 'won't' are not interchangeable words. 'won't' = 'will not'.
Question moved to model category.

2005 chrysler Sebring occasionally wont shift gears or acts like its in neutral

run fault codes and check for TCM problem . Change the fluid and clean the filter. Have a pressure test done on the box to check for internal mechanical problems. While the pan is off have the bands and clutch pack adjustment checked.

2005 chrysler sebring loses power driving up hill & RPM is up high, Ive changed, spark plugs & air filter. dont know what to do.

Not sure I am following your story.
Are you saying the transmission is slipping and therefore the RPM is high even tho the road speed is not ?
Or is the transmission not upshifting to the next gear at a normal road speed ?
Is the check engine light on ?

Chrysler voyage automatic transmission issue

The geabox fluid needs changing, if the gear changes seem jerky changing up and down, the gearbox needs to be refurbished.

1991 3.3L Plymouth Voyager, Transmission temp sticks in first.

John, this sounds like a valve hanging up in the valve body. The car shifts when the govenor pressure overcomes throttle valve pressure in this valve body.

What is the condition of the fluid? Is it at all dark or grey, does it smell burnt? It should be a nice light pink. If not, have the fluild and filter for the trans changed. This may take care of the problem.

If the oil is really burnt, you are at the end of the life of the clutches and you are looking at a complete trans rebuild. If the oil is ok, a trans shop should be able to take just the valve body down, clean it and eliminate the problem without overhauling the entire transmission

good luck
