code p0303 refers to cyl 3 misfire detected ===causes engine mechanical fault--wiring--ignition/fuel system--injector--ECT/MAF sensor--ECM
code p0316 refers to misfire detected during start up --first 1000 revs===causes --engine mechanical fault--wiring--ignition/furl system--injector
the common fault cause is ignition/ fuel system and injectors so I would be checking fuel pressure and injector systems for clean and wiring connections are good especially on no 3 injector.
check spark plug of the cyl. switch plug with another cyl, run engine until warm to see if misfire still comes on. if it stays on the same cyl. fault could be high tension wire or coil or worse leaky valve or rings. if misfire switched to the other cyl just change plug or better replace all plugs
code po303 refers to cylinder 3--misfire detected===causes --engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/ fuel system---injector---ECT/MAF sensor---ECM. check plug and HT lead to no 3 cylinder. Check that the injector to 3 cylinder is operational and not blocking or squirting. Have a compression test done to check for compression / gasket problems
code p0302 refers to cylinder 2 misfire detected===causes --engine mechanical fault--wiring---ignition/fuel system---injector--ECT/MAF sensor---ECM code p0457 refers to evaporative emission system--leak detected (fuel cap loose/off) ==causes --mechanical fault--hose connections---EVAP pressure sensor Replace faulty items. Use only genuine items as replacement as non-genuine are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. This results in the fault codes not cancelling out. If possible you may be able to get the CPU reset to work with the non genuine items you already have.
code p0300 refers to--random/multiple cylinder/s misfire detected...Causes---spark plugs---HT leads---injectors---ignition coils ---low compression ---wiring code p0302 refers to cylinder 2 misfire detected Causes ---engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/fuel system ---ECT/MAF sensors ECM code po303 refers to cylinder 3 misfire detected Causes Engine mechanical fault---wiring---ignition/ fuel system ---injector---ECT/MAF sensor ECM The common fault to all is the fuel/system ignition I would have the injectors checked and have a pressure test done on the fuel manifold to check pump and fuel regulator valve.
Causes: - Improper spark plug at cylinder #1 - Insufficient compression at cylinder #1 - Incorrect fuel pressure - The injector circuit is open or shorted at cylinder #1 - Fuel injector #1 may be faulty - Intake air leak
