Sounds like you may need to replace the engine coolant thermostat, inexpensive part.

Take off a water pump 89subaru ea82engine

Presume this is a non-turbo engine. Remove engine timing belt, drain coolant, remove and replace the water pump mounted on the front left of the engine, and re-assemble. Remember to follow correct procedure to reset the timing belt tensioner, and this would be a dandy time to replace the timing belt also. Refill with coolant, run until thermostat opens

Installing water pomp

Your water pump is operated y the timing belt, so therefore you have to remove the timing belt to replace the water pump and then retime the motor. If you don"t know how to time the motor you would be better off to take it to a mechanic.

I am unable to replace my timing belt on my 2001 PT Cruiser I have 120,000 miles on my car.....Can it make it to 122,000??? I am trying to get the money together as we speak........Do you know???

some people dont bother to change the belt at all(NOT RECCOMMENDED) so, as long as you dont redline it in every gear,it could go on for a lot longer(i hope...)
feedback??

1994 4 door mazda 626 need to locate where the water pump is on this car

The water pump is located at the front of the engine ( where the timing belt is) To replace it you will need to remove the timing belt covers and the belt. If you have not tackled this sort of problem before i would recommend you purchase a workshop manual ( Haynes or similar) and that will show you the correct way to do it. Best of luck.

1994 ford escort wont stay in time

Is it getting the correct tension on the belt. Is the belt tension spring broke. Make sure you have the right belt. On the 1.9 engine they changed it in 1992 from a square tooth belt to a round tooth belt or the other way around. I'm not sure. Just make sure the teeth on the gears is the same as the belt. I know you said it was a 1994 but do you know if a previous owned changed the motor?
