There may be some codes in memory that a code reader can reveal.

i would start by checking the spark plugs and leads. if that ok i would think there is a problem with the dispack that the spark plug leads fit to, if its cracked or any rust i would replace.

The order is as described, but you must know whether the rotor button turns clockwise or count clock wise as this may reverse the position order of the wires to the distributor cap. With the distributor off crank the engine and observe the direction the rotor turns.

You need remove fuel tank, first delivery fuel presure and disconect negative battery cable, be carefull to download tank with hoses and electrical conector, turn lock ring counterclockwise, and remove fuel pump assembly. Install in inverse order
