It sounds like your Mass Air Flow Sensor is faulty. These sensors will normal show fault when cruising at highway speeds causing the vehicle to almost stall or stall. Replace the Mass Air Flow Sensor with a known good one and test drive the vehicle. This will most likely repair your concern.

Car jerking at low speeds and idle

Not fuel filter. Is your engine light on? Could be accelerator pedal position sensor. Does it do it only when you are accelerating?

2005 nissan almera,1.5letre.. fault code po725

P0725 NISSAN - Engine Speed Signal

The P0725 Codes is triggered when TCM does not receive the engine speed signal from ECM.

The Engine Control Module (ECM) monitors the engine speed through the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor with the engine running, and send signal to the Transmission Control Module (TCM).

Symptoms:
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)

Possible causes:
- Open or shorted CKP sensor circuit condition
- Poor CKP sensor electrical connection
- Check communication error between the ECM and TCM
- Failed CKP Sensor

Possible solution:
Very common problem with Nissan vehicles, usually replacing the Crankshaft Position sensor takes care of the problem.

02' Nissan Altima, car jerking, turns off at light, but turns right back on. Engine light on, code from autozone P0335 crankshaft position sensor. P0725 Engine speed signal circuit. The start up, days it...

If it has a code for loosing the crankshaft position sensor signal, I would certainly start looking at that before venturing into the fuel system. Cam and Crank sensors are a common failure item for Nissans of that era. Nissan actually redesigned the sensor and i think they performed a recall on some vehicles. They are fairly inexpensive and easy to replace. I believe they run about $40 each. Because most people don't have access to a powerful scanner or a digital storage oscilloscope to verify the failure I recommend replacing the cam and crank sensors at the same time.

My 2005 Nissan Altima loss power while I was driving down the street, the next day it cut off at a light, it takes a few seconds to start, but always starts

the 2.5 altima's had a recall on that problem about 2-3 years ago. Go to edmunds or progressive find the recall letter and the dealer will fix it free. well here you go:

section_opened.gif Recall ID # 07V527000 - ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING Recall Date: NOV 14, 2007 Component: ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING Model Affected: ALTIMA Potential Units Affected: 653910 Recall Details Recall Date: NOV 14, 2007

Model Affected: 2005 NISSAN ALTIMA

Summary: ON CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A 2.5L ENGINE, THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR CAN OVERHEAT CAUSING A BRIEF INTERRUPTION IN THE SIGNAL OUTPUT FROM THE SENSOR.

Consequence: IF THE INTERRUPTION IN THE SIGNAL FROM THE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR IS SO BRIEF THAT THE ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE (ECM) LOGIC DOES NOT HAVE TIME TO DIAGNOSE THE CONDITION, THE ENGINE MAY STOP RUNNING WITHOUT WARNING WHILE THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN AT A LOW SPEED INCREASING THE RISK OF A CRASH.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPROGRAM THE ECM FREE OF CHARGE. CERTAIN MY 2006 ALTIMAS WHICH HAVE BEEN PREVIOUSLY REMEDIED UNDER RECALL CAMPAIGN 06V223 (NISSAN R0606) ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL SINCE THE REPROGRAMMING FOR 06V223 ALSO INCLUDED THIS REPROGRAMMING. THE RECALL BEGAN ON DECEMBER 31, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

Potential Units Affected: 653910

Notes: NISSAN NORTH AMERICA, INC.
