Dash gauges aren't properly working. As I drive my 2000 Ford Taurus SE, the gauges are going crazy and my battery dies. Can you help with a diagnosis?

" turn the key on engine off 8 times. the doors will lock and unlock. push one of the buttons on the key fob and the doors will lock and unlock. do this for each remote that you have. when you are done turn the key off. the door locks will lock and unlock. the remote fob should work after this."

remove the negative battery lead fr about ten minutes then reconnect. this will cause the computer to reboot

SOURCE: fuel gauge stuck on full for my 2000 ford taurus SE

it is probbally the fuel pump in the gas tank. It has a float like the one in your toilet and a sensor attached to it to tell you how much gas you have.

SOURCE: my dash warning lights come on while driving

reset the battery wait about five minutes before hooking it up...this is sounding like a computer problem.
