Check the connector at the ABS unit. There have been some problems where the brake pressure switch leaks, the brake fluid runs down the wires right to the ABS connector, and creates a short. If this is the case, you'll have to replace the pressure switch kit and the ABS connector.

There is two fuse box ,one under the hood and another under the dashborad, try this two it should be in one of those, most of the time could be just the fuse ,but sometimes is because the speed sensor blow out, check the first box fuse and then the other box.

Replace the gage cluster you should be able to find a cheap one on craigslist or ebay if not the salvage yard should have one.

98 ford windstar no dash and tail lights

you have to check all fuses with a test light both fuse boxes under hood and under dash... if good next to look for is the light switch itself... has any radio work been done to the lately... if so alot of times hooked up wrong will blow park fuse as one of the wires to radio is the park voltage to tell radio to dim down some

No A/C, no odometer, no speedometer, ABS light...blown 10 amp fus

I had this same problem a few years ago. Got to the point that the dealer just gave me a box of fuses to replace when it blew. They could not find the source nor could they replicate the situation in house. The 99 Windstar had a recall somewhere in the breaking system-- and leaks could cause a short in the electrical system. Once that repair was made, I never had the problem again. I like to think my constant complaining (car was still under warranty at the time) allowed corporate to make the connection. Look for the recall code.

Speedometer, odometer, a/c clutch and ABS light on

Its a faulty switch/sensor on your brakes master cylinder. The switch leaks brake fluid into the wires connected to it causing a short in the circuit and blowing the fuse that controls the ABS, odometer, speedometer and cruise control. This problem can also cause a fire. A fire can occur even when the car is off. Go to this link to find out how to fix the problem. - http://www.fordwindstarrecall.info/

2000 ford windstar

fuse #10 in the fuse box inside the van under the dash this fuse will be blown HOWEVER the reason the fuse is blown is your real problem
the most likely cause is the reduntant bps on the master cylinder just unplug it and the fuse should stop blowing.
you can replace it if you want.
be very carefull of leaking brakefluid on harness below this sensor if brakefluid has leaked into harness and is not attended too it can cause major problems.

Blown fuses

The problem is simple and you could possibly repair it yourself. the sensor on the brake master cylinder (front side protruding down from the bottom) is shorted out. This sensor turns off the cruise control when the brakes are pushed. You only have to unscrew the old sensor and replace it with the new one. You will notice that the old sensor has has brake fluid all through out it. this is the reason for the short. BTW you will lose a little brake fluid in the process so have the new sensor ready when you take off the old sensor. I know this doesnt sound like it could possibly be the reason but it is. hope it helps
