My experience is a faulty pin in the transmission, but yes, get the transmission repaired.

You need to have the transmission repaired. There is a faulty Solenoid inside the transmission.

Have it scanned. There isn't any solenoids inside the transmission on Hyundai's.

SOURCE: transmision wont go in R 2 4 but 1&3 is fine

If you have a manual transmission it sounds like you have broken or lost a clip or mount that holds you shift cable in position. You need to follow the shift cable from the trans to the place where it mounts to the trans and hook it back up. It should not be a bad transmission since you have all your upper gears on the tree (1&3) and have problems getting to the bottom gears (3,5,& R). I have seen this problem before so good luck. If you have an automatic transmission follow prior advice and run to the dealer.

My 97 tiburon wont go into gear and the clutch lost pressure...any suggestions?

Check the clutch master cylinder. If it's low or empty, add some brake fluid and bleed the clutch slave cytlinder down on the bell housing.
Good luck.

My 2003 tiburon was working fine turned it off after i got home from work the next day right before work get in and the car wont turn over or fire its like it was dead but checked the battery and...

Hello Kimberly 210,

I looked up your ignition to assure MYSELF your
key ... is indeed a standard TRANSPONDER.
(no idea what country we are talking about...??)

That type of response SEEMS to be a SECURITY
response... As though ONE of your keys is in trouble...

(TRANSPONDER KEYS can be damaged & intermittent) ...

My best advice is to get on eBay and find yourself
a COUPLE of NEW uncut OEM key replacements...

Shop around and find out if you have a cooperating
locksmith who will cut and code the keys for you...

The BEST price I've paid was $6 per key cut...
The worst was $60..
(they ruined my OEM key and sold me a generic
(I felt it was deliberate.. my OPINION)).

IN ANY CASE: If you wait until the key goes bad a DEALER CAN GET (page 120, 3-10 owners manual)
from $300 to $600 for full key service AND that
IS NOT INCLUDING the tow charges.

Some cars allow you (the owner (nothing found))
to code the keys yourself...

but you CANNOT do it WITHOUT at least TWO (2)
WORKING KEYS...

Sorry... I don't know TIBURON specifics

Where is the 97 tiburons (light blue) brake relay located?

there is no stop lamp relay on this model. See diagram below. If your stop lamps aren't working, check the fuse (#3, 15 amps) and the brake light switch above the pedal. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Transmision wont go in R 2 4 but 1&3 is fine

Do you have a check engine light? If so,get it checked out. (Free at most major auto parts stores). It sounds like it's in limp home mode. The manufacturers made the electronics so that you could still get it home if any of the electronics failed. Sounds like your shift solenoids have failed you, but it's anyone's guess until you get the thing scanned. No one on here can give you a definate answer until that happens. Find out what codes it's showing and then get back on here with them. I took the time to answer, now please take the time to rate my answer.

What's the torque for the flyweel on a 2.7 engine hyundai tiburon 03

Actual specs can be found at the dealer or in a Hayne's manual in the local auto parts store. After 17 years of doing this, I'd just take my air gun & stagger tighten the bolts, until snug, then go over them with no more than 3 "clicks" of the air gun. It'll work fine, guarunteed.
