2005 ford taurus horn just doesn't work. I've checked the fuse near the steering wheel and it's good.
The problem can be with the horn pad, the horn relay or the horn itself. Find your horn relay, it should be in the engine compartment fuse box. Remove the relay and test for power at the legs. there should be two legs that have power. If there is power there, take the cover off the relay and plug it back in. Squeez the relay points together and see if the horn works. If the horn still does not work, it is probably the horn itself. If it does work it is probably the horn pad, but you don't want to mess with that because of the air bag. Let a pro do it.
All of this is predicated on the fact that you have checked all the fuses.
Hope this helps

My horn, on a 2004 Taurus, worked before I switched it to an older model 1998, because the horn notes are brighter and louder than on my '04.
The 1998 horn worked, cuz I tried it before I buttoned everything back up. Up put the car back together. No horn. I checked the fuse... good. The horn pad is ok, cuz it just worked, 15 minutes ago.
So I put the one that came with the car back on. I tried it before buttoning everything up. Of course, no horn. Ok, no big deal, I'll work it out. So I leave to go to the auto parts place... no cruise control. Now I'm heated!
