as you face the engine the thermostat bell is on the right (drivers side) Follow the radiatoe hose. Remove the two bolts and raise the bell still attatched to the hose. the thermostat is there with the rubber seal. You can gently pry the thermostat out with a screwdriver or something similar. Put in new thermostat be sure it is the same as the old one, and then replace or change the seal (be sure it is the smae size and thickness as the old one as I got the wrong size from Napa) Then replace the bell, and tighten, but not over tighten. When you remove your vehicle from park, the idle air control valve (electronic choke) operates to keep enough air going into the motor while you aren't using the throttle so it will stay running. If it is too dirty it can't move properly...you'll stall.
Pull out and clean or replace the idle air control valve.

disconnect the negative battery terminal first then disconnect the positive treminal so there are no accidents, raise the car safely go underneath & remove the starter cover should be 3 10mm bolts holding the cover on then remove the 2 through starter bolts 15mm then disconnect the + battery cvable from starter then disconnect the solenoid wire should be a 7 mm bolt. good luck
