It depends how old the vehicle is they don't use fuseable links any more witch was a wire that would burn out like a fuse they wore a pain .Now you can replace them with a piece of jumper wire you just cut out the old link and the jumper wire has a replaceable fuse. Just make sure you have the correct amperage and you cut out all of the old wire

Alternator was replaced now battery needs charging but only gives one hour of working

If the vehicle is not even running or begins to die after as you say an hour that means you still have a charging problem. basically the only reason the battery is there is to start the vehicle. The alternator/charging system is what runs the electrical system in the vehicle. In the power distribution box (a fancy name for a fuse box) under the hood of the vehicle there is a fuse for your charging system. Below is a picture of the layout of the fuses in the panel under the hood of the vehicle in the engine compartment. I marked the fuse you need to check. It's a 15 amp fuse and will cause the same thing as if the alternator was bad. I hope this helps.

We accidentally arced the wires to the alternator and had to replace the alternator. It still wont charge the battery, Do we need a new fuze thats under the hood or what?

It sounds like a blown fuse. The fuse box can be under the hood or it can be inside the vehicle. Look on the side of the dash board or the kick panels. If the fuse is Ok, then it might be a fusible link. Fusible links are usually under the hood.

Cant find where the 80 amp fuse or fusible link is in my kia for the charging system or alternator

It should be located in the fuse box under the hood of the car. If you have the owners manual, it sould tell witch one it is.

Charging Problem

Ok, first check the fuse diagram on the fuse panel cover under the hood and line up the locations and descriptons to the fuse cluster. You may need the owner's manual as well. There will be one that is labled "ALT" "CHRG" or "BATT" and verify if the fuse is there, and if it's good. If you need to replace one, make sure that it's the correct amp fuse that's labled on the pannel for it.
Hope this helps

2005 ford focus fuse box

There is a 1 amp fuse in the under hood fuse box for the alternator charging signal. Also, there is a 175 amp fusible link for the alternator, which is located under a plastic cover, next to the top of the timing belt cover.
