I had my speed sensor changed and it work for about 15 mile and back to the speed and milage not working with the check engine/brake/ABS light on. The car runs good when this occurs but why is this happening?
My lincoln had the same code. It actually had nothing to do with the speed sensors. Turns out it is an ABS control module. Replacing those will get rid of that code and also fix any malfunctions the gauge cluster has with not working properly. I don't know how it affects all of that, but it does and will give several different codes leading to speed sensors and other electrical issues that seemingly have nothing to do with the ABS.
U1039 SCP Invalid or Missing Data for Vehicle Speed Go to Workshop Manual Section 206-09, Anti-Lock Control a
Speedometer Gauge
The instrument cluster receives the vehicle speed signal from the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module over the SCP and displays it on the speedometer gauge. When the instrument cluster has no vehicle speed signal, the speedometer defaults to 0.0 km/h (0.0 mph).
Uses wheel speed sensor signal to ABS control module for vehicle speed . ABS control module sends this info to the instrument cluster over serial data network SCP standard corporate protocol
The vehicle has two module communication networks. The standard corporate protocol (SCP), which is an unshielded twisted-pair cable (data bus plus, Circuit 914 [TN/OG] and data bus minus, Circuit 915 [PK/LB]) and the International Standards Organization (ISO) 9141 communications network, which is a single-wire network (Circuit 70 [ LB/WH]). Both networks can be connected to the scan tool by one connector called the data link connector (DLC). This makes diagnosis and testing of these systems easier by allowing one smart tester to be able to diagnose and control any module on the two networks from one connector. The DLC can be found under the instrument panel, between the steering column and the radio.
The ISO 9141 communication network does not permit inter module communication. When the scan tool communicates to modules on the ISO 9141 communication network, the scan tool must ask for all information; the modules cannot initiate communications.
The SCP communication network will remain operational even with the severing of one of the bus wires. Communications will also continue if one of the bus wires is shorted to ground or battery positive voltage (B+), or if some, but not all, termination resistors are lost.
Unlike the SCP communication network, the ISO 9141 communication network will not function if the wire is shorted to ground or battery positive voltage (B+). Also, if one of the modules on the ISO 9141 communication network loses power or shorts internally, communications to that module will fail.
The RASM is connected to the SCP communication network. The RASM controls the vehicle's air ride suspension and the variable assist steering function. For additional information, refer to Section 204-05 .
The anti-lock brake control module is connected to the SCP communication network. The module controls the brake pressure to the four wheels to keep the vehicle under control while braking. For additional information, refer to Section 206-09 .
The ACM is connected to the SCP communication network and also to the audio control protocol II (ACP II) communication network. The ACM communicates with the compact disc and the cellular phone transceiver. For additional information on the compact disc, refer to Section 415-00 . For additional information on the cellular phone, refer to Section 419-08 .
The DDM is connected to the SCP communication network. The module controls many functions including power windows, power locks and keyless remote entry. The DDM also communicates with the driver seat module (DSM) to control power seat and mirror memory. For additional information, refer to Section 501-14B .
The DSM is connected to the SCP communication network. The DSM controls the driver power seat. The module also communicates with the DDM to control the driver seat memory and both outside memory mirror functions. For additional information, refer to Section 501-10 .
The EATC module is connected to the SCP communication network. The EATC module controls automatic climate functions that maintain the vehicle at a constant temperature setting. For additional information, refer to Section 412-00 .
The RCM is connected to the ISO 9141 communication network. The RCM controls the deployment of the air bags based on sensor input. For additional information, refer to Section 501-20B .
The HEC is connected to the SCP communication network. The HEC displays information received on the SCP including speedometer, odometer, fuel and message center warnings. The HEC also controls the passive anti-theft system (PATS). For additional information, refer to Section 413-00 .
The LCM is connected to the SCP communication network. The LCM controls both interior and exterior lighting, anti-theft functions and warning chimes. For interior lighting, refer to Section 417-02 . For additional information on exterior lighting, refer to Section 417-01 . For additional information on anti-theft, refer to Section 419-01 . For additional information on warning chimes, refer to Section 413-09 .
The NGSC servo is connected to the SCP communication network. The servo, when activated, controls and maintains vehicle speed by actuating the throttle linkage. For additional information, refer to Section 310-03 .
The PCM is connected to the SCP communication network. The PCM controls the engine performance, electronic ignition, emission controls and on-board diagnostics. For additional information, refer to Section 3A in the Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) manual.

you should have your vehicle scanned with OBDII.(on board diagnostics) . take it to a shop and tell them your engine light is on and they'll hook a computer to it and find out why

check the wiring harness, on both front wheels, it plugs into the wheel bearings, and runs along the lower control arm, sometimes it gets damaged

P0573 is for your brake switch stuck. It means you either have a bad brake switch, or a bad wire.
SOURCE: speedometer intermittently stops working
your ABS module (board) is crack and a good fixman could check that to fix or change it
