Visual Inspection Chart
Mechanical
Electrical
- Headlamp switch

- Autolamp sensor
- Blown fuse(s)
- Damaged wiring harness
- Headlamp bulb

- If the concern remains after the inspection, connect the New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester to the data link connector (DLC) located beneath the instrument panel and select the vehicle to be tested from the NGS menu. If the NGS does not communicate with the vehicle:
- check that the program card is properly installed.

- If the DTCs retrieved are related to the concern, go to the LCM Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Index to continue diagnostics.
- If no DTCs related to the concern are retrieved, proceed to Symptom Chart to continue diagnostics.

2001 lincoln town car repair manual
I would suggest looking online first. Generally with older vehicles you aren't able to get much help from the manufacturers and there are a lot of places online that will have the repair manuals available. I will say though that unless you are getting a very big repair done, it might be best to just have a mechanic fix the car for you. Generally it's not worth it to go through the trouble of figuring out how to fix a problem and actually do the work for smaller repairs. It's much simpler and easier to just take it to a professional.
