Where is the transmissission vacuum modulator located on a ford f-250 1988

SOURCE: where is the vacuum modulator located on a 1994

This particular van should not have a vacuum modulator. That part is located on the transmission and controls shifting which is electronically controlled on the 94 models.

SOURCE: Location of vacuum modulator for transmission 1995 Ford Crown Victoria LX

There is no vacuum modulator valve , this transmission is all electrical controlled . What seams to be the problem ? no shifting , shifting hard ETC....... shift solenoid inside the transmission maybe , input or out put speed sensor bad . Do you have a check engine light lit ? There probably is a DTC - diagnostic trouble code .

I cant find the vacuum modulator on the transmission of my 91 ford bronco. Its not on the back or side of the transmission like everyone is saying. is there anywhere else it could be located??
No, it is on the trans not under the hood. follow the vacuum line to it. I'm not sure it has one, some didn't . if there is no vacuum line than it works off linkage

Where is the transmission modular valve located on 98 ford taurus
Check to see if you can see a vacuum hose runnning down to the tranny, it will be what your modulator hooks up to. Btw, check the hose for breaks burns or other dammage that may cause the modulator not to work properly. Hope that helps.

When the vacuum modulator goes, the engine vacuum draws ****** fluid into the combustion, causing white smoke. It is located on the side of the ******, circular in shape, with a vacuum hose connected to it.

I have a 85 Ford F250 that has an idle issue. the
I'd check the throttle postion sensor, and check to see if the EGR is getting vacuum when the engine is idling. Also check the EGR valve positioning sensor. I don't believe motors are able to search for timing, it's controlled by where the distributor is located and by the control module and pick up coil. You could have timing variations, if the timing chain is streched.

Modulator possibly went bad
use a Mityvac or any type of vaccum pump vaccum tester tool (avail at ay parts store) and hook it to the vacuum nipple of the vacuum modulator on the side of the trans, pump the tool to see if modualtor holds vacuum, if it doesn't it is defective.
