SOURCE: Removing Headlight Assembly on 2003 Ford Focus Ultimate Edition
Jack up the front of the vehicle. Secure the vehicle with at least once JACK STAND. Open the hood of the car. Remove the front grill. Remove the fasteners on the head light assembly that are located on the exposed inner fender and the one that was under the front grill. Lay on your back and look between the front fender and the head light assembly. You only have about 4 inches. Remove that screw. All screws are either Phillips or torks.

You will first need to remove the door panel on the inside. Then you will need to remove the window glass from the track it rests in. Then you need to undo all the screws that attach the regulator inside the door. At the top of the door where the glass slides up and down remove the inner and outer window track guides. Then very carefully maneuver the regulator up and out the top of the door. Reverse the procedure to replace. It sounds easy, but you need to almost be double jointed to do this. So, have great patience while doing this task. Good luck.

SOURCE: How do you remove the rear brake drum?
Before you begin make sure your emergency brake is off.
1. Jack up the car and remove rear tires.
2. With a 13mm socket and ratchet remove the 4 bolts that are on the back of the hub assembly. (You will need an extension and a universal joint adapter)
3. Pull the drum off and the spindle will come off with it, giving you access to the shoes, wheel cylinder, hold down hardware, etc... (you may need to adjust your brake shoes so the drum will slide off easier.)
Do not undo the nut in the middle of the drum (under the dust cap) unless you absolutely need to turn the drum or replace the drum as the threads on the spindle are known to strip very easily. Should you need to take it off the socket for the spindle nut is a 30mm.

same thing happened to us. My wife came home and said the rear brake lights were stuck on so I assumed it was the brake switch...not so. Took car for a ride and noticed rear wiper did not work and when I hit the brake the rear hatched opened and door locks blew out. I started by looking at the wires in the gromet above the hatch and found almost all the wires were bare. Therefore power was jumping the bare wires and traveling back down the third break light and to the rear brake lights and visa versa.. a very dangerous situation. The best that I can tell is the wires are so short in length that they pull and chafe every time you open and close the hatch...very poor design... Note: we bought our vehicle brand new and some of the wires had electrical tape on them....seems mickey moused.
