2005 Echo Climate Control What is the name of the distribution box that directs air to flow as I have selected with one of the 3 Climate Control knobs?

One of the Climate Control knobs pulls a wire that connects to a plastic face plate, which is attached to the air flow distribution box. (Air is forced on the windshield, my face or my feet depending on the setting.) I have undone the single screw on the face plate that connects to the distribution box. In order to properly direct air flow again I need to know where four pegs in the box fit into this face plate. If I know the name of this air distribution box then I hope to get a diagram from our Toyota dealer. Thank you

the control is opperated with engine vacumn, check for a hose cracked or come loose in the engine bay, the controller is in the dash,behind the adjustment knob, it may have a hose off or need replacement.

Having problems with climate control. Temp setting does not come back on to the last setting it always comes back on at 75. Also when pushing the front defrost it doesn't blow air.

You may want to have it check for DTC'S diagnostic trouble codes . A code may point to the problem , these HVAC systems are very complex .
DTC B0248, B0268, B0408, B0418, B0428, or B3531
The HVAC door actuator is an electronic motor with a feedback potentiometer. The HVAC control module supplies power and ground to the actuator. The HVAC control module controls the direction of the actuator by changing the polarity of the control circuit. When the actuator reaches the desired position, voltage is removed from the control circuit. The HVAC control module determines the current position of the actuator by monitoring the feedback voltage of the door position signal circuit. The feedback potentiometer position is a function of the actuator position.
• Air flow control 3 circuit refers to the front mode actuator
• Air flow control 7 circuit refers to the recirc actuator.
• Temperature control 1 circuit refers to the driver air temperature actuator
• Temperature control 2 circuit refers to the passenger air temperature actuator
• Temperature control 3 circuit refers to the rear air temperature actuator
• Air flow control 10 circuit refers to the rear mode actuator

Do you know what a scan tool is ?
Install a scan tool.
Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
With a scan tool, command the appropriate actuator in both directions.
Does the actual parameter of the appropriate actuator change?

The A/C is not cold enough but a gage shows the lines are full and the compressor is working. What else may I look for to ck.

The other item needed is the temperature at both the evaporator and the condenser. Check your chart but at X temperature, the pressure must be Y or refrigeration is not happening.
If the pressures are good, look for air distribution issues, like air doors and water valves.

I have no power going to the climate control unit. No fans, no digital temp setting, no air direction control..nothing. 2005 Dodge Caravan. Can't find any blown fuses. Where does the power orignate...

it only takes 2 things to fix power.
a voltmeter
and alldata dot com.
(a road map we call it)
see power distribution page. its all there. no guessing.
will cost you $15, 1/10 of 1hour shop labor, really its free.

My climate control only blows out cold air but the rear climate control works as it should

Could be the controller or a faulty blend door.
The blend doors direct air thru the heater core and evaporator along with the vents. The controller uses electric motors to change the direction of air flow.

24 ATC mode door feedback failure

The Mode Door Actuator controls the direction of airflow. It selects which way air flows through the different ducts. If your climate control system has lost the ability to control which vents the air comes out of, the MDA has probably failed.

Interior blower only blows up to warm on 1997 A4 2.7ltr

Check the blend door cable for proper attachment to the control panel and to the blend door. Try opening the door manually to see the you can get hot air out. If not, the door may be broken inside the heater box. If yes, correct/adjust the cable attachment for proper operation.

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
1990-97 Passat Models
Install the cable ends marked with a white or blue band to the control head assembly. The cables must be attached to the control head before connection to the system air flaps.
  1. Remove the climate control head from the center dash assembly to access the control head cable ends.
  2. Remove the lower dash panels as necessary to access the cable lever arms.
  3. Attach the airflow distribution cable (cable 2) to the airflow distribution knob's lower control lever.

This cable can be identified as follows:
Operates the mode/central air flap Cable has a black sleeve and is 25.0 inches (634 mm) long Cable is marked with a white band
  1. Press the cable's sleeve against the control head stop and install the retaining clip.
  2. Attach the temperature control/air blend cable (cable 3) to the air temperature knob's control lever.

This cable can be identified as follows:

Operates the temperature control/air blend cable air flap Cable has a blue sleeve and is 21.0 inches (535 mm) long Cable is marked with a white band
  1. Press the cable's sleeve against the control head stop and install the retaining clip.
  2. Attach the airflow distribution cable (cable 1) to the airflow distribution knob's upper control lever.

This cable can be identified as follows:


Operates the footwell/defroster air flap Cable has a black sleeve and is 37.5 inches (954 mm) long Cable is marked with a blue band
  1. Install the cable such that the blue band is over the retaining clip mount and install the retaining clip directly over the blue band.
  2. Install the climate control head.
  3. Set the air flow distribution knob to defrost.
  4. Connect the longest airflow cable (cable 1) to the footwell/defroster flap lever on the heater's air box.
  5. Press and hold the flap's lever toward the retaining clamp perch and install the cable retaining clip.
  6. Set the airflow distribution knob to the Vent position.
  7. Connect the short airflow cable (cable 2) to the central/mode flap's lever.
  8. Pull and hold the mode flap's lever away from the retaining clamp perch and install the cable retaining clip. Check the operation of both air flaps making sure they can be heard contacting their stops.
  9. Set the temperature control knob to full cold.
  10. Connect the blue-sleeved cable (cable 3) to the air blend/temperature flap's lever.
  11. Pull and hold the mode flap's lever away from the retaining clamp perch and install the cable retaining clip. Check the operation of the air blend/temperature flap making sure it can be heard contacting the stops.

Climate control for foot or foot/defrost selection not working- no air flow down at feet - the other climate selections working well

remove the ink cartridges and re install them. off the printer whiles performing this steps then on it and your printer should be working. if that did not work, try changing the print-cartridges with new ones.
