SOURCE: the fan motors keeps running after car is shut off. Also sometimes fans start when car is started cold.

If the fans didn't run any further the engine continues to warm and possible seizure will occur. This is also the reason you will probably go through batteries in the long run. Hopefully this helps the issue you are having.

SOURCE: 1998 mazda mpv code p0170 erase code car runs fine

This code indicates a fuel ratio problem. I would start by inspecting all the vacuum lines, including the pcv hose and power brake hose. Carefully inspect the air intake hose. This is the large hose between the throttle body and the airflow meter. If this hose is cracked or loose the computer will not sense how much air is being drawn into the engine and it will be hard to start.

2004 MAZDA MPV P0171

The code is for fuel system lean bank one. That means the computer can not make the engine run rich enough to get the O2 sensor to switch from lean to rich.
It should also set a code for the cylinder miss, the problem could be dirt in the fuel filter or a problem with one of the injectors based on your statement about running low on fuel. It could also be a low fuel pressure problem due to stuff clogging up the screen in the gas tank. Sometimes the problem is the O2 sensor but I doubt it in your case.
You could try replacing the fuel filter and running some injector cleaner thru the fuel system to start with. The code needs to be cleared after the miss is repaired to see if the light will stay off.

Check engine light flashes and car sputters

my MPV has this symptom. in my case it is a hole in the breather hose which is on the back of intake manifold. my mechanic friend helped me diagnose this. codes came up as problems with O2 sensors because of the extra air getting into intake. when we opened the hood with van running we could hear the leak right away. this was causing engine to run very rich... currently looking for part... hope this helps

I have a mazda mpv 2000 minivan.problem code p0301 misfire detected cylinder#1

I'd check #1 spark plug.
Usually a misfire code "fix" is a spark plug, spark plug wire, or a coil pack / distributor.
Keeping it simple...I'd go with the spark plug first and then look at the condition of the wires.

Hope this helps...

Where is the throttle sensor on 1994 mazda mpv located

Follow the hose running towards the engine from the air filter and you will come to the throttle body. This is where your throttle cable is also located. On the opposite side of where the throttle cable is you will see wires running to a sensor, this is your throttle position sensor.

2002 mpv; changed 02 sensors; engine vibrating when turned on; rough idle when in park or stopped; runs ok when accelerating. what could this be?

posibly he has a vaccum leak and somesome saw the o2 rading or the fuel trims. can you hear hissing sounds from the engine area when it's running? on the back of the intake manifold there is a hose that gets soaked with oil and leaks. you may have more than one problem. the IAC valve which is on top of the throttle body may be deffective.
