Your best bet would be to take it to AAMCO or some other repair shop an have them run diagnostics on the car . They could hook up scanner an be able to tell you right away , instead of replacing parts you don't need .

Where is the speed sensor located on a 2002 Chrysler Concorde

Beware speed sensors seldom fail. Chrysler products transmission have a limp mode where they only shift to second gear when something goes wrong and many times when nothing is wrong. If the speedometer fails it goes to limp. If an OBD scan gives a transmission code sometimes clearing the code will end the problem. When driving if the transmission shifts one time as it should the sensor is working.

Chrysler concord 3.2 lxi 1999,speedometer does not working, cheak engine light on and the transmision does not shifting . did any one know why and how I can fixed ? Thanks

Sounds like a transmission output speed sensor. The first thing you need to do is pull trouble codes. Most likely the PCM will have a p0700 code which means there are codes in the trans control module. To scan that you will need a multifunction scan tool. You local parts store may be able to help you with that or you may need to swing buy your local shop (they usually charge for this). If the TCM code has anything to do with the rear output speed sensor than I wouldn't hesitate to replace it. These are very common in all Chrysler transmissions. It will be located on the drivers side of the transmission towards the rear of the transmission. It will have a two wire connector, is usually a light tan/cream/yellowish color, and you'll need a 1" socket or wretch to remove or install it. Good luck, let me know if you have any further questions.

My speedometer stopped working, the check engine light came on and the transmission won't shift out of low. 1998 Concorde LXI

You will need a speed sensor it at the tail of thhe transmission the very last one is speed output sensor or vss (vehicle speed sensor) NOT input sensor

My 99 chrysler concord speedometer quit working and it wont shift out of 2nd gear. What is wrong?

Chances are the check engine light came on also. You should have the vehicle scanned for codes, it could be that the output speed sensor has failed. This could put the transmission into limp mode (second gear) and cause the speedometer not to work. I would guess this to be an inexpensive repair, .6 hours labor plus the cost of the sensor, $16.99 at O'reillys ...I hope this helps

2001 CONCORDE TRANSMTSSION WILL NOT CHANGE GEARS 3rpms going to the limit 4 engine growl instead of shifting

you need to have three sensors checked on the transmission, output sensor, input sensor, and speed sensor,
one is not telling the computer your speed,so the computer keeps you in limp mode

Transmission problems

It sounds like the output speed sensor is bad, but without a code it is hard to say. It will cause it to go into limp in mode which is 2nd gear without an up or downshift.
