Montero...
Greetings & salutations The Crib,
"How to"... (interesting):
>> ((with or without "INFINITY"...??))...
I've spent 60 years in radio repair (tube testers in grocery stores were as common as coin-phones outside)... I've watched the full onset from crackly (humming) AM... (through the VERY lame 4 track tapes)... up to the down-loadable (cloud resident) play lists... we enjoy today.
So while I have a full appreciation of the MULTI-MEDIA, VIDEO SERVER (parking assist, rear view) GPS navigation systems w/hands-free telephone (Bluetooth)...
I am still also a fan of classic vehicles... and the art of both areas of influence...
To ME...
The neatest "How to"... installation would
be a FULLY reversible installation...
(inside the design criteria of your existing interior vehicle design.. BEHIND existing speaker enclosures)...
As "AFTER MARKET" radio applications are very highly a matter of personal taste... YOU might want to sell THIS vehicle at some point in the future and EVERYTHING you have
done MOST PROBABLY won't appeal to your potential buyer...
I'm just saying..
The electrics are quite simple:
Get on-line to CRUTCHFIELD (at the very bottom)... and buy all your connectors there or on ROCK-AUTO.
CUT NO FACTORY WIRES... That would "How to"... (IMHO).
Good luck (better skill).
