I have an 05 Suzuki Forenza that has a flashing check engine light. This started on Tuesday. Had the codes looked up. Car is driving shaky and dash lights are blinking. Any ideas?

fix the anti freeze leak --before you blow a head gasket

what your codes mean

Check Engine Light On, P0300 Random Misfire Code. A random misfire means your engine is misfiring, but that the problem is not isolated to one or two cylinders. It is jumping around in a random way from one cylinder to another. A random misfire code usually means the air/fuel mixture is running lean.

What the P0700 code means. P0700 is set when the PCM detects a malfunction in the transmission control system. This malfunction causes the vehicle to set a Check Engine Light and trigger a failsafe mode. Once the failsafe mode is set it will remain until the fault is repaired or normal operation is detected.

I have a 2011 dodge caliber and it isz throw a c0700 code could u tell me what this is

P0700 DODGE - Transaxle Control System Malfunction

Symptoms - Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Driveability problems
- Transaxle shifting problems

Possible causes - Shorted or open circuit within transmission control module (TCM)
- Failure of transaxle control module

Tech notes Since the P0700 is just and informative code, check the TCM for more codes to resolve the problem.

P0700 DODGE Description The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.
CLEAR THE CODES AND SEE IF IT RESETS. MOST LIKELY NOT A PROBLEM

What do i need to replace to fix error code p0700 on a 2002 dodge intrepid

(DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request) Translation: Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure. P0700 Information Code The Transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. If any malfunction is detected, the TCM informs the PCM by sending a signal (P0700 code). P0700 means that a code has been set in the TCM. This code is for information ONLY. If this code is present, check for transaxle codes. So basically, the P0700 code is telling you to check the TCM for a transaxle DTC. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it.

I hope this helps....let me know if I can assist further !!

Car does not run ,I check the code ,it is P0700

Because it is not starting, you should replace the Crankshaft sensor (above the oil filter, back of the engine)-it will cause a P0700-I have a 99 SL2, 178,000 miles

DTC) CODE # P0700....Transmission Control System (MIL Request)
Translation: Transmission Control Module (TCM) Malfunction or Failure. The TCM can not turn on the check engine light so it has the PCM do it. The dealer probably saw the code P0700 and went to the TCM and pulled out the code stored there telling them the Transmission Solenoid Assembly (TSA) is bad. This is a good example of understanding what the codes actually mean. If the manual you looked at said the TCM is bad and to replace the TCM when you see a P0700, then it is wrong.

Error P0700. What is the cause? How to repair it?

P0700 JEEP - Transaxle Control System Malfunction
The transaxle Control Module (TCM) monitors the malfunction of sensors and actuators relating to transaxle control. When the TCM detects a malfunction with the control, a signal is send to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to trigger the Engine Light or Service Engine Soon light. The ECM stores the P0700 code and it means the TCM detected a malfunction with the transaxle controls.

Symptoms
- Engine Light ON (or Service Engine Soon Warning Light)
- Driveability problems
- Transaxle shifting problems

Possible causes
- Shorted or open circuit within transmission control module (TCM)
- Failure of transaxle control module

Tech notes: Since the P0700 is just and informative code, check the TCM for more codes to resolve the problem. So you'll have to have the dealer or another qualified shop/technician pull the transaxle codes from the TCM and go from there.
