I cant seem to get the timing right on my 93 ford probe with a 2.0l 4 cylinder manual. I just changed the timing belt and i cant seem to get it timed right with the distrebuter. any suggestions?

Mark the direction of rotation on the timing belt in case you need to re-install the original belt

Cam and crankshaft sprocket alignment positions for the 2.0L engine

Rotate the crankshaft until the timing marks (arrows) on i cant seem to get the timing right on my 93 ford - 8f9af2f.jpgt sprockets align with each other

Very Doubtful. As the belt routing is limited to the space in the cover for the timing belt. And there is not much chance to get it wrong. It is POSSIBLE. but not too.

I need the timing specs for a 1993 ford probe dohc 4 cylinder and i need to no the timing mark and timing for the distributor

11-13 degrees btdc.@ 650-750 rpm. The distributor is clockwise 1-3-4-2.

Just bought 1991 Ford Probe lx v6 won't start

If you have spark and fuel (either via the injectors or spraying fluid into the intake), and still no evidence of firing, it suggests your valvetrain may not be working. If the valves can't open, the fuel cant get into the cylinder.

Do (or have done) a compression test. You may have a broken timing belt/chain.

93 ford probe, 4 cylender idles fine .starts missing,popping when u give it gas or put it in gear ,till you get above 2000 rpms then its fine

when was the last time the timing belt was changed ,this may be the problem

Yep You are Right Its a Mazda 323 Ford Laser Inbreed mostly sold in UK and Japan
Not found in American Auto Lititure found this Website seems they have 1.6l 4 Cylinder Engine and They DO have Timing BELTS I would go with Mazda for Referance on how to's
