How do you perform a relearn procedure on a camshaft position sensor for a 2003 Dodge Stratus

Is the Check Engine light on? (If so-Have the codes read and deal with those issues first) If not-Perform the throttle relearn procedure with a compatible scan tool, also known as "Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APPS) relearn". This may require the factory scan tool. That should get the throttle response back to original factory spec.

The cam sensor is usually located at the front, on the end of a cam shaft. You may also want to change the crank position sensor. BUT.......check the timing belt first, make sure it is still intact. I'm not sure if they still used the Mitsubishi engine in 03, but check your cap too. The distributor cap also (I think...) has a pick up and a silver disc under the cap. The Mitsubishi engine, they went bad frequently.

it went from a hard cam sensor failure to an intermittent theres no magnet just a raised portion on cam.i think you got a loose terminal in the connector or a wire shorting or partly open from the sensor to the pcm

That would be a cam shaft sensor issue .The cost of the sensor is about $65 With about .8 hours of labor .So for about $150 you can have the sensor installed :)

the camshaft sensor is mounted on the camshaft housing located on the end of the cylinder head.

Cam is on the end of the block, crankshaft sensor is on the bottom of the block. Both are easy to change....are you changing these due to poor performance or no start condition?
