SOURCE: Rear seat won't fold down (60 part of 60/40 seat)

I had the same problem on my '03. The seats would not fold down using the latch release as I had always done. So I tried a combination of pulling up on the side latch AND the top latch and the seat folded down. It really doesn't FIX the problem but circumvents offending  defective part. I will use this method until it doesn't work then I might shell out the $$$$$ to the dealer.

SOURCE: I have a 98 Toyota Camry and the left rear seat

The belt will need to be replaced. never try to fix a seatbelt due to safety reasons. you can get complete belt from a salvage yard. just remove the bolt that secures it to the vehicle.
Be sure to tighten the new one down so it is good and tight.

SOURCE: remove rear seat lexus es300 2008

the bottom of the rear seat pulls straight up at the front and out. its pretty tight, you need to pull very firmly.

I have 2012 ford mondeo hatch and the middle rear seatbelt is locked. We can not pull it out. Can this be fixed at home? Or does the whole seat need to be replaced or repaired at ford?

You do not fix seat belts you replace them, the chance of the seat belt retractor not functioning correctly and failing to lock the belt in a collision is just not worth saving a few bucks, wouldn't you agree?

2000 Focus Seat Belt Retractor - Pleaes Help

I had the same issue with the rear seat belt. what my solution was taking the plastic cover off the top side that pulls the seat belt back in and notice that on these cars, they actually fold the seat belt at the very end to prevent tearing. therefore the seat belt was folded inside the re-tractor and got stuck. what i did for a solution was twisted the seat belt unfolding it by grabbing the other end behind the re-tractor and now it works. Try not to fully extend it next time...... if that doesn't work go to a junk yard 12 bucks replace the whole seat belt.

03 Grand Cherokee seat will not move.

Hello,

I have had this happen to me several times. Working in salvage yard I see it all.. if you have "NO OTHER ALTERNATIVE" and you plan on replacing the seat track.. cut it with a saw. I know it sounds primitave.. but those tracks run on a belt, and there is no way to make the seat move without power.

Good Luck!

Rear seat belt repair on 2001 mercury marquis

If simply pulling and releasing them doesn't work.(which i am sure you've already tried a hundred times!) you will have to replace them. Most scrap yards will have them available. and remember the same seat belts are used in a wide variety of models so you don't have to find them from the exact same car.
Good Luck!

Rear seat belt

I've only had to change a seat belt once, and it was not a Subaru (the belt was partially cut thru). In my vehicle (Jeep) I had to remove the rear seat, and the belt was anchored with a bolt that required a large torx socket wrench to remove. Before you get that involved, maybe you should try to expose the retractor area of the belt, spray a generous dose of WD-40 in it, try working the belt in and out, keep spraying, hopefully it will work, but I really don't know if it's jammed beyond this fix. If you have to replace it, check the local auto junk yard. They may be able to give you tips about removal. You should be able to pick one up for about half the cost of new (color might not match?). Good Luck, sorry I can't be of more help. countrycurt0
