Replace Turn Signal Bulb

If you look straight up inside the bumper you will see the plug that holds the bulb just twist and it will come out.

  1. Open the hood and remove the plastic clips that hold the front plastic splash guard in place. This is done by pushing on the center of the plastic buttons to depress them slightly. The button (clip) can then be removed. For the buttons (clips) with the philips head center, lift the philips head center until you hear a click and then remove the whole clip.
  2. Remove the plastic splash guard.
  3. Remove the three 10mm bolts that hold the lens assembly to the fender.
  4. On the fender side of the lamp assembly there is a plastic clip that is inserted in a small flange which is part of the fender. Use a flat screwdriver to put pressure on the back of the post that protrudes through this clip. This post, that is part of the lamp assembly, helps to hold the assemble in the correct position. Once that post is free of the clip the lens assembly can easily be removed.
  5. Un-clip the wires to the main headlights and the the parking/turn signal lamp and remove the lens assembly from the vehicle.
  6. In the case of a fast blinking turn signal, remove the turn signal bulb, test to be sure it is good, and clean the contacts of the blub, bulb holder, and the printed circuit strip on the lamp assembly.
  7. Reassemble everything and test.
  8. Replace the lamp assemble in the fender and secure the splash guard with the clips.
  9. This should be about a 1/2 hour job.

Change the front turn signal bulb on Cadillac SRX

I have found a short cut for changing the front turn signal bulb
  1. Remove the inner fender well cover and then you can remove the light assemble from underneth and replace the bulb.
  2. The cover is attached with a bunch of push on body clips, pry the button up with a screwdriver and pull out fastner.
  3. Then there are two screws holding the light assembly on the bottom and inner side, it clips into the bumper on the outter side. From there it's pretty simple.
  4. FYI the GE replacement cross reference is wrong it's a Sylvania 3757A LL bulb.

How to replace bulb in front bumper turn signal housing 1995 jag xj6

hello,
  • Identify the blown bulb. Note that if a headlight bulb has blown, the dip beam is on the outside and the high beam is on the inside. Turn off the ignition switch and light switches.

  • Open the hood and replace any blown headlight bulbs. Press the plastic spring clips and remove the bulb holder from the assembly. Pull the bulb out of the bulb holder and replace it with a new bulb. It only fits one way. Be sure not to touch the bulb's glass. Replace any parking lights at the same time, they are in the headlamp unit too.

  • Remove the front turn signal light unit in the bumper to change the turn signal bulb. Push gently on the inside edge and insert a blade between the bumper and the lens at the outside edge. Compress the spring and remove the lens. Fit a new lamp by inserting it into the plug. The side marker light is changed using a similar process.

  • Open the trunk to replace the rear fog light, stop light, tail light, reversing light and turn signal light. Remove the rear light cover and turn the bulb holder fastener 90 degrees counter clockwise. Remove the expired bulb, fit a new one and replace the parts, turning the bulb holder clockwise.

  • Thanks..

2004 CTS Cadillac front passenger turn signal bulb is out.

Actually no you don't. Crank your steering wheel all the way to the right so yo have the maxumum clearance for your hands and arms in the front of the wheel well. Remove the plastic clips that hold the wheel well splash guard and pull it back enough to allow access to the interior of your bumper.
    Replace bulbs as needed.
Yes, a jack is nice and makes it a touch easier to access, but I did this in an AutoZone parking lot during a cross country road trip.
    5 mins tops to complete.

How do you change the front turn signal bulb on a 1999 chrysler 300

Depends. Some vehicles require that you reach under the front bumper to replace a turn signal bulb (if the turn signal is in bumper). Whether you reach from under the vehicle or under hood, simply grasp the clip and turn in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction. Usually the clip is attached to the light socket itself, so be careful not to break the clip. If the bulb has a flat base, just pull the bulb straight out. If it has the round base, push and turn the bulb to pull out.

Cadi CTS 05 Front Blinker / Running Light Bulb is out

It is fairly simple to replace the turn signals on the CTS. You do not have to remove the whole bumper, just enough to let you inside behind the lights. Turn the steering wheels one way and remove the 4 clips around the bumper with a flathead screw driver. Then do it again to the other side. You can remove the top clips to give you more wiggle room. Look under the car and remove enough of the clips to loosen the sides. At this point you can stick in your hand from the wheel well and replace the lights. Just turn and pull and re-install the new lights. Simple.
