It does not matter the year of the truck just how much can a 4 cylinder truck pull ? I need to pull a 6x14 trailer with a medium tractor on it.
I'd be more concerned about tounge weight and STOPPING. Stay under 3000 lbs combined trailer with load and 500 lbs tounge weight.
I think a 4 cylinder truck can pull as much as 5000 pounds. I'm currently building one that can tow a boat and I just finished installing my new set of wheels and tires I got from https://4wheelonline.com/wheel-and-tire-packages.283376to complement the build and improve the performance.
Think out it a four cylinder truck is a 1/4 ton truck or about 600 pounds of payload plus the weight of the truck...check the door post it door edge it should have gross weight or total weight your truck is designed for...thst trailer itself is too big for your truck...let alone the tractor..sorry..my opinion..good luck..
I would not try it, get a friend with a bigger truck. the transmission and diff on the 4 cyl trucks are only designed for light duty like what u can fit in the box and not much more
