2003 Pontiac Montana heat gets hot in front, blows but seems weak, and no heat on rear controls but blows ******* rear. what is going on?

Rear climate controls quit working as well as the DVD player, all fuses are good for HVAC system front and rear. The rear fan control on front works but no heat in rear when on. Just blows cold air. No control from rear controls

SOURCE: no rear heat in pontiac montana '99

Warm up vehicle, then access heater pipes that run to rear of vehicle.  they should be HOT. if not you have  a circulation issue.  IF they are hot, then the blend door is not in the correct position.  this door directs air across a hot or cold core to create the correct air temp. check and update me.

SOURCE: 2002 Pontiac Montana, No Heat, I put the temp control on

the cabel from the heat dial to the heater box behind the dash could be snaped or jamed thus not opperating the lever which operates the flap which open and closes the heat box next to the matrix. or if your coolant is brown in colour it could be your matrix is clogged with sedament and needs flushing out. or it could be your water pump not pumping coolant round your engine or it could be a knackerd thermostat i hope these will help you id start with the easyest first thermostat

SOURCE: I have a 2000 pontiac

I have a 2000 pontiac grand prix with a digital climate control system. The heat quit working, it doesn't blow out any heat. Now that it is warm outside the air stopped blowing out any air. The digital temperature on the climate control is not correct. When it states that it is below 30 degrees on the ext and it is warm outside the air wont be cold. Once it starts going above 30 degrees the air gets colder. Today the blower stop working all together. Was told it maybe the climate control unit was bad. You can hear the door opening/shutting when you switch the temp from cold to hot. But there was no heat blowing out whatsoever in the winter time. Could you please give me your opinion on whether or not it is the climate control unit or something else?

When front air is on rear heat always

If you have owners manual check that your climate control settings are as you expect them to be, if that makes sense. Some on Fixya do not realise they gave climate control , they think they have normal A/C and try to correct chimerical problems. Please check and repost

Rear actuator, when heat is on in front with controls in rear on heat, rear blows cold air

The actuator on the rear controlling the climate control door was bad, the 2 top door panels had to be removed, then removed the 1 door foot step panel on the rear passenger side and the rear bottom hatch panel, then you can pull the large side panel back enough to get into the control, simply unplug the unit and remove the screws and install in reverse order, it took roughly 30 minutes, very much worth the time to DIY, We saved $ 430.00.

check to see if the cabin filter is clogged witch will restrict air flow and limit circulation. the filter box is located in the glove box.

2003 escalade rear climate control no heat just cold air.

there are two separate actuators for the rear system. one controls temperature and the other controls vents from head to feet. mine problem was the later. that acutuator for esv 2003 is 89018365. it is located just below third seat cup holder passenger side and can be replaced simply by removing cup holder. triangular shaped part with wire harness.
