Your problem could be the coolant temp sensor, or it could be the gauge itself, but something 2 do is if you can get it to a dealer, or a parts store. If you cant get it there, you can get an OBD I scanner and retrieve the code and know why the check engine light is on, but it could be from any of the sensors on the car, would be best to get it scanned.
If you are referring to the Check Engine light then this indicates there is a problem with the emissions system. Have the ECU scanned with an OBD2 scan tool. The fault code that has been set by the ECU will tell you where to look for the problem. If the engine is running fine there is no hurry, but do have this looked into.
If you are referring to the oil pressure light stop driving the car until you get this repaired as it may be serious.
Check the vaccumn operated valve on the heater hose. Make sure when you are running the car and change the temp from hot to
cold to hot again the the valve moves
