How do i retrieve a plastic card which fell into the middle console through the sliding cover closest to the dashboard on the middle console?

There will be small plastic covers on the sides of the centre console concealing screws and under the cup holders and at the bottom of the centre console. Gently pull up on dash trims to unclip them

there are about 8 torx screws (very small) near the hinge of the lid. remove those and the lid will come to remove the entire console, there are bolts on the back of theconsole accesible from back seat, and on the side of the console. easiest way to acces those bolts would be to remove the front two seats. they are held in by two bolts in front and two nuts under plastic covers in the back. raise the emergency brake lever and the console will slide up and be removed.

On a warm day pull two side pieces off center dash. Remove shifter handle. Pull up on middle where it says PRND You should be able to reach in. If not there are a few screws inside and the cup holder and the middle will come off

You don't remove the shifter, you have to remove the panel around it first.
You start by removing the coin holder then the stuff holder, they just pop off. If you have heated seats then you pop the buttons from bellow and unplug them. Pull the panel up carefully. Sometimes spilled soda that got into the shifter cover make it stick like glue. I use plastic wedges to not damage anything, You can pull it up half way or just take it all of. The e-brake handle cover pops off too and just pop it off at the center console.
While your there make sure to wipe it all clean and retrieve all the coins that fell in. lol

I dropped a card in between there a few months ago and had to retrieve it. Don't waste your time trying to fish it out..it's almost impossible and very time consuming. All you have to do is pull the rubber out from around the shifter and pry the entire plastic covering up. Be as gentle as possible. It should pop right off. Make sure the pull on the E brake so that you can remove the cover, as well. Hope it works for ya!

If you mean the switch on the steering column, you will want to ramove the plastic cover on the column itself, and may have to remove the plastic trim by the speedometer. If the vehicle has an adjustible steering wheel, you may want to try pulling it down and see if that gives you enough room to get at the switch. Do you know where it fell? or is it just somewhere down there. Because it could be a task finding it if you dont know where it started. And you may just want to replace it if it is broken.
