Sounds like you have an air to fuel mixture problem, have you put a scan tool on it, being a gm i suspect it may be the mass air flow sensor/map. Pull the codes to see why you are dumping fuel

SOURCE: 1992 Chrysler LeBaron 3.0 L.

the owner probably rerouted the fuel line because like my 92 chrysler lebaron v6 3.0 the fuel lines keep seeming to come off and the clamps always break. I have replaced the clamps 5 times in a month and replaced filters 2 times in 2 months. The only thing i could think of is that your fuel is being cut off possibly because there is no filter to clean all the junk out. Try putting a fuel filter on and see if that will work

It is most probably the crancase ventilator gizmo. Go to the Jeep dealer or other reputable mechanic to repair. I did and it cured the problem. It cost me about $120 and it was well worth it.

SOURCE: 1991 toyota 3L V6 Overfueling, raw fuel pouring out exhaust pipes

The valve cover gasket change is related only to the extent of needeing to remove something else . There is the fuel pressure regulator and the MAF SENSOR talks to the ECU telling the computer how much fuel is needed for proper mixture of thre air passing into the intake. It is the first sensor in the intake duct coming out of the sir filter. Make sure all the injectors are secure in wiring connection and look around for any other that had to be removed. All plugs mean it isn't just one injector. Unplug and replug the MAF. cHECK THE THROTTLE POSITIO SENSOT. iT RIGHT THERE where the fuel likage is attached.

Check for the computer codes. It can point to the cylinder that is miss firing. Could be a bad injector. Do a cylinder balance.

I have a 1991grard am 2.3 l dohc it runs a little

The cat is working overtime. There is a sensor in the exhaust just down from the manifold. This measure exhaust condition. Have this checked. Until this is functioning properly it won't tell the fuel management what to do. I don't know if this will fix the misfire or not.

91 grand am le 2.3 dohc it runs a little ruff more when driving

Usually the cause to this would be either bad spark plugs, bad spark plug wires or if they are new then it could be as simple as a vacuum leak but it is an older car and valve clearances might be off, valves could be clotted with carbon, not allowing the to open or close properly.

their are a few different things that can cause ur problem but usually the main one is the fuel filter others are dirty clogged air filter -partial clogged pcv valve-partial clogged cat converter -carbon build up on egr valve -for the pcv try cleaning with a carb cleaner -same for egr valve clean carbon build up -as for cat converter have some one raise idle while u feel for exhaust if feels weak or sounds like blockage look to see also if glowing bright red this usually shows a clog or partial clog in exhaust system[cat going also if smells like rotten eggs possible cat conv problem] good luck
