How to change fog light bulb 2002 chevrolet malibu

The fog lights on most vehicles sit directly underneath the headlight bulbs. The ballast and wiring work just like the headlights, so changing them takes not much time. The procedure to change the fog light is as follows:-- 1) Open the hood and reach down underneath the headlights to unplug the electrical plug from the fog light assembly. Squeeze the top of the release tab and pull the connection off the bulb's ballast. 2)Turn the fog light counterclockwise to remove it from the fog light housing. 3)Install the new fog light bulb.Then connect electrical plugs properly. 4) Test the fog lights by turning it ON. check all the wiring for that light and if u have power in all that mean you may have replace the wrong type bulb

OK, you will need to first check the fog light wiring harness. make sure there are no worn wire lines or connections, replace if you see noticeable flaws in the wiring harness. Next, check the clip that fits over the back side of the fog light bulbs. Make sure that the inside copper pins are in good condition and, the the fit is tight. replace the wiring harness if these clips are worn or not fitting properly.

If the above inspections show no apparent wiring harness issues, you will then need to check for bulb failure. make sure that your fog light bulbs are operational. if the bulbs are ok, replace the switch.

hi disconnect your fog light switch if this doesn,t knock them off you need to find the fog lights relay and replace it as the fog light circuit is shorted best of luck yates210456

I just replaced the fog light bulb on my 2008 Azera. I went under the car and removed two screws from the protective shield. I pulled down the shield and reached up and turned the fog light socket and pulled it out of the housing, remembering which side the wires were on and removed the old bulb (Don't touch the new bulb with your hand) and replaced it with the new bulb. The job took less then 15 minutes
