SOURCE: ACURA TL SERVICE DUE SOON B1

It's a service interval reminder light that you should take your car to acura and have them perform the "b1" service. I would ask for an estimate first, and ask what that service includes. You may be surprised to find necessary and unecessary services. Some people view the b1 light as a way for Acura to get you car in there, quite possibly be charged for things you could probably do yourself.

Does the 2008 Acura TL have a timing chain or belt?

All the Acura motors listed in my book show a chain. The water pumps are driven by a serpentine belt. Water pumps only need changing when they leak out of the drain ho0le underneath or become noisy from failing bearings.

Should I replace the timing belt & water pump at the 90k for my 2005 acura tl

Yes it would be a very good idea to change them all at once. You can't go wrong there because most timing belts and water pumps go out around 90-100,000 miles. Go for it I would.

Good Luck!

How to install a water pump for a 1997 acura tl

I suggest that you visit the autozone.com website and register the car information. It doesn't cost anything and will give you access to an online repair manual for the car. The steps for replacing the water pump should be available there. It's a handy resource for anyone doing their own automotive maintenance and I'm sure you will find it useful. Sure hope so and I hope this helped. Best wishes.
