there isnt marks!the cam pulleys have do nothing with timing!remove the valve cover and see in the other end of the camshafts and find two eccentric cuts!turn the crankshaft to the top dead point on the cylinder 1 the two cuts must be in the same line on the upper or lower side.you need aspecial tool to lock the camshafts and another to lock the crankshaft!this is the timing procedure!now you can change anything you want!note!the cam pulleys are conejointed to the camshafts!no marks no pins no safe pins etc.isnt difficult but complicated simple!

Good day guys,i need to know how the timing marks must be on a 2006 ford focus 2.0tdci, i removed the head cause it blew head gasket, send to engineering, recon the head but the cam timing marks are gone,it...

Assuming the crank hasn't been moved you might need to turn it to top dead centre on cylinder one *before* fitting the head. (Pistons at each end at their highest points).
The timing mark on each cam is a 'dot' on the face of the cog. There will also be marked links on the chain itself that should be lined up with those dots. If you can't see the dots try looking at the back of the cog as it might have been fitted the wrong way round.
Some of the TDCi engines have lock pin holes fitted to each cog to trap it at top dead centre. You can use these as an extra reference method. (See Photo). The drill bits show the lock pin locations.

Pick up a Chilton's manual, which should give you all the info needed,to rectify your situation. Good luck.

Can not find timming marks on cam gears

Ther are none. It takes a tool to hold the cams in place while the valve cover is removed. Get a chilton book from the library.
