SOURCE: I don't here the fuel pump ever kick on in my 1990 Ford F150, and I tested all of the fuses and they are good. I was thinking the relay for the fuel pump might be bad -- any suggestions?

It's under your hood, in one of those boxes, and should be marked. Your pump won't cut in if it's fried either. Check to see if there is power at the pump. Maybe you just have a loose wire. You can always hope!

SOURCE: fuel pump replacement on 2005 ford focus

Are you sure that you need to replace the pump? I drive a 54 plate mk2 1.6 zetec that wouldn't always start and I was told it was the fuel pump in the tank but because the fault was intermitant I didn't have it fitted and found out that the car didn't start because the fuel lift pump wasn't priming the system before starting. I found that there was a faulty connection on the relay for the pump that is in the compartment under the glove compartment.

Where is the fuel pump relay switch on Ford Focus 2007 2.0

In the under hood fuse / relay box . You suspect the relay as being bad ? Vehicle won't start , no fuel pressure ? You can find a picture of the location here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb Enter vehicle info. Under system click electrical distribution ,then under subsystem click fuse panel . Click the search button then the blue link. If the relay is good then check to see if the inertia fuel shut off switch has been tripped . Your vehicle also has electronic returnless fuel system . Has a fuel pump driver module that controls the fuel pump speed from inputs from the PCM - engine computer . The fuel rail pressure sensor tells the PCM what the rail pressure is .
Video's on youtube showing how to diagnose these systems .

Ford focus fuel pump not working

There should be a reset button on a part called an Inertia switch. This switch is located behind the front kick panels or in the trunk.

The Inertia switch is a safety switch used to prevent fires after a collision. But sometimes if the right Frequency is generated by closing a door, hood, or trunklid the switch will activate. Then power is cut off from the fuelpump.

I need to know where the fuel pump relay is, or where the fuel pump reset button is

See picture below where the fuel pump cut off switch is located. The fuel pump relay is located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment (see other picture). The relay is located in the R7 position in that box (see layout diagrams below). There is also a fuse for the fuel pump which is located in the same fuse panel. That fuse is in the nuber 12 position and should be a 15 amp fuse. All of this should be in your owners manual if you have one. If you don't and would like a copy, you can email me at [email protected] with your make, model and year and I will be happy to email you a copy. I hope this helps and good luck.

2001 ford focus code p1237 showin will not run how do i fix it

Hi hope I can help.
P1237 : fuel pump secondary circuit FD driver module.
What you need to do is check the voltage at the fuel pump.
Hook your meter to the fuel pump and have a helper turn on the key.
You should see voltage for 2 seconds , you can also hear the pump buzz when it turns on.
If you don't hear the pump turn on, but you have 12v at the pump your fuel pump has failed
If you don't get nether pump or voltage . then check your fuel pump relay.
Hope this helps Please leave feedback

I have a 2005 Ford Focus that isn't getting fuel. Replaced the fuel pump but still isn't working. Thinking it might be a relay but the fuse box doen't say what fuse and relay is to what? how can I tell...

Look in owners manual. Why did you replace the fuel pump? Sounds like your working backwards. Start with a diagram, then the fuse, relay and on to the fuel pump.Always test first, and only replace parts, if they test bad. Have to know the circuit and how things work. Did you check fuel pressure FIRST?

My 2000 ford focus cranks, but does not start. I

You will want to find out if you are not getting spark or not getting fuel.
If no fuel, then bad fuel pump, plugged fuel filter, or bad fuel pressure regulator, or bad fuel pump relay.

If no spark, then bad crank sensor, or ignition module, or coil packs.
