I did put the 4l60e shift in Google and then pressed images. I guess you should try the same, and see what happens.

2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with 4l60e lost reverse while in 2 wheel drive, but reverse works in 4 wheel drive. Possibilities?

There are a few potential causes for the issue you are experiencing with your 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 and the 4l60e transmission. Here are a few possibilities:
  1. Clogged or dirty transmission filter: If the filter is clogged or dirty, it can cause problems with the transmission, including a loss of reverse gear.
  2. Faulty solenoid: The solenoid is responsible for controlling the flow of transmission fluid, which in turn controls the shifting of the gears. If the solenoid is faulty, it can cause problems with shifting, including a loss of reverse gear.
  3. Wiring issue: There may be a problem with the wiring that connects the transmission control module (TCM) to the solenoid.
  4. Faulty TCM: The TCM is responsible for controlling the transmission, so if it is faulty, it can cause shifting problems.
To diagnose the issue, it is recommended to have a mechanic or dealership technician take a look at the car. They will have the necessary tools and expertise to properly diagnose and repair the problem

My 1995 pontiac grand am gt v6 3100 wont drop into 1st& 2nd gear has drive and overdrive

1 - 2 shift solenoid problem , maybe . Need to look at a wiring diagram for 1-2 shift solenoid electrical circuit , an test for a open solenoid using a Ohmmeter . Do you know how to do that . Free wiring diagrams here http://www.bbbind.com/free-tsb/ Enter vehicle info. Year , make , model an engine . Under system click on engine , then under subsystem click on fuel controls . Click the search button then click the second blue link. Scroll down to the # 7 diagram. In the diagram they call them shift A & shift B solenoids . A would be the one to check . Pull the fuse for the shift solenoids an find connector one at the PCM - engine computer . Pin # 11 . Put one ohmmeter lead at pin # 11 an one at the fuse . Not the battery power side of the fuse . Should show some resistance ( 4 or 5 ohm ) If the meter shows infinite resistance it's open an there is your problem .

I have a 1994 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with an automatic transmission. I get an intermittent service light and a P0029 code is referenced. When this happens the car seems shift harshly. I thought P0029 is...

It's an exhaust valve inside the transmission, when the solenoid isn't working right, the pressurized fluid can't exhaust through the passages, which can cause rough shifting. It has to be taken to a transmission shop, the transmission pan has to be dropped and possibly the valve body to get at the solenoid. Hope this helped.

A/T 2-3 Shift Solenoid Circuit Malfunction (4L60E, 4L80-E. thats what one of the codes in my car saids, those anyonme know what that means , 1996 chevy camaro v6 auto.

Your car has the 4l60e. Are you getting a code? The solenoid could be bad or there could be a wiring problem. I'd take a quick visual inspection of the harness where it enters the transmission. If that looks ok, drop the transmission pan and locate the 2-3 **** solenoid, it's on the rear of the valve body. Check the wiring inside the transmission. If that looks ok I'd go ahead and replace the solenoid. It's held in by one torx head bolt. Remove the bolt, pull out the solenoid and remove the wiring. New one just bolts right in. Those solenoids are pretty cheap from the dealer, should cost you about $20.,

4L60E won't shift to 3rd on 1995 Chevy Astro 2wd

do the pin point tests, these start witjh running a trouble code test, autozone and kragen will do this for free, if u haven't had the trans apart then cross out any crossed wiring issues, but I do think you will find a problem with the 2-3 shift solenoid, either the solenoid has failed or the connector has a problem on the outside of the trans.
