How can you clear p0455 code on A chevy impala without having a obd-II scanner

White smoke is steam, and this is normal at this time of year and is mentioned on this website a LOT at this time of year. Gasoline has weather in it at molecular level and is burned off as steam.

codes are OBDll and are available on line free. Every scan tool comes with booklet with codes in it. If the person scanning does not have booklet do not waste your time.

A P0354 code means that the ignition coil or coils are not functioning properly and that there is an electrical problem with them. The ignition coils are responsible for properly igniting the air-fuel mixture in the engine's combustion chambers.

Easiest and probably cheapest way is to purchase a OBD II code scanner. You can get one at autozone or online for fairly reasonable. They are good to have on hand for future repairs. Most have the option to clear codes.

all you should haft to do is unhook the battery I usually unhook it for about 30 seconds that should erase all the codes the only other way I know of is to erase them with a code reader.

The first thing to do is to figure out why the light is on. If there is a problem and you just clear the light it will come back on. You need an OBD II scanner to retrieve the trouble codes recorded by the computer. Once you have the codes you can then figure out whats wrong and fix it. to clear the codes without any diagnostics, just disconnect the battery for 15 minutes.

In obd-II vehicles, you can clear the code by having 40 or more cycles of start and run conditions followed by turning off the ignition completely without having an engine anomoly or issue.

It's easier to use the clear codes button on the obd-II scanner.

Nowadays, you can buy an OBD-II scanner for less than $100 at Walmart. I just got one.
