Wont start unless primed with starting fluid

If it will not hit with spraying starting fluid, that indicates that you have a no fire condition. Start at the spark plugs and work your way in from there. Wires, coil, crank trigger, fuse.

The fact that it starts if you spray it indicates that you have a fuel problem. Either out of gas, low fuel pressure, fuel pump issue.

The injectors can't be spraying good or it would start. What is the fuel pressure reading?

When you say the fuel pump relay is good did you test for power to the relay circuit ?

low voltage in battery,you have enough cranking amps to start the truck,but not enough to fully power the ecm to tell the injector to spray fuel.hope this help

i would check the fuel pressure regulator.

Try spraying starting fluid into the intake of the air cleaner while someone else starts the car. Continue spraying the starting fluid for about 15-20 seconds. If the car starts, more than likely your fuel pump is bad. Check your fuses, and make sure you are getting power to the fuel pump. [email protected]

How do you know the fuel pump is good? And I would not keep using starting fluid to try and start the vehicle. Did you check fuel pressure? Did you try to dump a little fuel down the carb then try starting?

Check to see if the fuel pump is kicking in,
when you turn the key on without starting the van you should hear it kick on for about 2 seconds,

It could be...
A clogged fuel filter...
Blown fuse for the pump..or bad pump relay..
No gas
Bad fuel pump

Could it be a plug up injector , have sewiing needle , stick it in the sprayer part of the injector on the carberator part
