My 2004 GMC Seirra has the Driner Information center controls on the steering wheel the button some times and some time they done and whenever I start up my truck sometime the information Center show all the france , spanish, and engles flashing on the display window can I fix it are does the cluster needs to be replace?

If this is the lights for the switches in the steering wheel, these are LED's. The switches are made in such a way that it is prudent to replace the switch rather than try to take it apart and replace the LED. The switches are relatively inexpensive and are very easy to replace. While the LED's are rather inexpensive, the time that it would take to get the switch apart, replace the LED and then attempt to put it all back together is not worth the twenty to thirty bucks for a new switch.

I have replaced three of the four that are in my steering wheel. The hardest part to the whole thing is making the wiring connection in the back of the switch for the two large ones on the center crossbar. My fingers aren't quite slim enough to make the connection easily. I found using a pair of hemostats or some type of thin clamp with a handle works very well.

0 degrees BTDC would be the spec , there is a brown w/tan tracer wire near the distributor , you have to disconnect the connector before setting timing

You will have to remove the serpintine belt off take off the Hoses from the steering box be carefull not to strip them out, use some WD-40 or something the make it easier if they wont come off take your time and work them back and forth, If your just doing the pump then take the hoses off the pump not the steering box, take the retaining bold out of the steering pump and it should come right off.

they just pop out small screw driver pry out
