My Chevy 2500 07 van fuel gage has been sticking since this has started I have also noticed it shifts hard in first in first gear not all the time also a check engine light is on I have not checked code yet ???

The fuel gauge in your vehicle is the same as almost every one out there with a simple sweep arm and a float on the end. You can try adding some basic fuel pump lubrication into the tank itself, you can find these at an auto parts store. As for the shifting, get your engine codes read. Normally free. And you might find you have a faulty shift solinoid. Until then, it's almost imposible to see why.

You probably have a DTC code of P-2716.

Toyota knows about this issue, and a new engine Control Module (ECM) has been developed to rectify this condition. If your car is under 96 months old, and has less than 80,000 miles, the ECM will be replaced FREE by your Toyota dealer. The replacement ECM corrects the shifting issue.
Mention Tech Service Bulletin "TC015-07" when you take it in for service. If you are beyond the time and mileage as listed above, I can give you the part number for the ECU, if you want to purchase one.

sounds like tranny computer is bad take it to a grage and have a computer put on it cost about $50.00 to do this

The engine light is telling you, you have a transmission problem which sound like a shift solenoid. If you take the care to a local garage or dealer you can have them scan the vehicle for the problem code, which will tell you which solenoid is bad.

check the fuel pump fuse/relay, could be just bad enough to cause an intermittent start/no start. and check fuel pressure,spark and the crank position sensor.

The shift selenoid is located on top of the transfer case its a pain to get to there should be an electrical connection on it first check to see that its connected.I have had an 95 blazer and an 03 truck and i hate chevy 4 wheel drive systems i would rather have manual lockouts,

The shifter needs to be inspected. The shifter assembly is got misaligned, it has to be open and realign.

There are many other possibilities. But if it was working right up till now and suddenly this occurred then its shifter assembly alignment issue.

Shifting hard goes to line pressure. Check the filter you put in. There's a short version and a long version. If you have the long version in there, it will bottom out in the pan. Do not change the solenoids because it already shifts differently after changing the filter.

check basics first - dist cap,rotor,plugs,etc.Then put a pressure gauge on fuel line and check reading to specs for truck. you may need a fuel pump
