The heater core is located under the dash, in the center. The container holding the core looks like a black plastic box. Remove the ash tray for easier access. You may have to also remove some other covers under the dash. You must first drain the radiator then you have to disconnect the hoses. There are two hoses connected to nipples of the heater core that go thru the center of the firewall. Remove the screws that hold on the cover to the heater core. Then you should be able to get the old one out. There might be a couple of other minor steps but I'm sure you can figure them out. For re-installation just go in reverse order to put it all back together.

WHERE IS THE HEATER COIL AND HOW DO I REMOVE AND REPLACE IT

I own a 1994 LeSabre and the heater core on my car is located under the dash (in the center in a black plastic box). Remove some of the cosmetic dash pieces to access this black plastic box. First, you must drain the radiator of coolant, Then remove the two hoses. Next, the cover of this balck box can be removed by unscrewing the two screws Remove the screws and the heater core should now be accessable. Then you should be able to get the old one out.

Please remember to rate my solution. Thanks!

How to replace heater core 1994 buick lesabre

If it is necessary to remove the heater assembly, the cooling system must be drained before removing the heater core.
When a heater core leaks, a new heater core is installed or the old one repaired.
Heater Housing
  • The heater housing is usually under the dash and must be removed to gain access to the heater core.
  • Procedures for replacing the heater core vary with the year, make, and model of car. It threfore necessary to consult the manufacturer's repair manuals for the proper procedure for replacement.
f74-01.gif The heater housing is disassembled to get to the heater core. Heater Core
  • Remove the access panels(s) or the split heater/air conditioning case to gain acess to the heater core.
  • Remove the heater coolant hoses.
  • Remove the cable and/or vacuum control lines (if equipped).
  • Remove the heater core securing brackets and/or clamps.
  • Lift the core from the case. Do not use force. Take care not to damage the fins of the heater core when removing.
  • To reinstall the heater core, reverse the removal steps.
When the heater core leaks and must be repaired or replaced, it is a very difficult and time-consuming job primarily because of the core's location deep within the firewall of the car. For this reason always leak test a replacement heater core before installation.

94 buick lesabre a/c works but heater does not it only blows cool air. only one hose is hot runnining into fire wall. what is the problem? and how to fix it? Thank you

If only one hose is hot you've got a blocked heater core resulting from either sediment in the core or a defective heater valve. Check the voltage to the valve with the heater controls set to high, if there's no voltage you need to replace the valve. If the valve is working you need to get the sediment out of the core itself. Sometimes you can get lucky and reverse flush the core using a hose on the outflow hose. But most times you need to remove the core to clean it.

94 LeSabre inner door panel removal

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls

Heater core replacement

Actually if your handy the heater core on this car is pretty easy..  passengers side under the dash... but here is a link to some sites that will probably help
from .... one of the wikki sites.. LOL cant remember which now

The heater core is located under the dash, in the center above the "hump". The container holding the core looks like a black plastic box. Remove the ash tray for easier access. You may have to also remove some other covers under the dash. First drain the radiator. Then you have to disconnect the hoses. There are two hoses connected to nipples of the heater core that are thru the center of the firewall. This has to be done from underneath the car while raised. I also had to unbolt a frame support to get to the hose clamps (I have big hands; you may be able to reach them without unbolting it). Remove the screws that hold on the cover to the heater core. You should be able to get the old one out now. Just go in reverse order to put it back together.

also this link is very handy they have a pretty complete collection for MANY vehicles
